Bird Buddy: Erlebe die Natur

Das Vogelhaus und die Kamera funktionieren gut, die App bietet jedoch allerlei Kinkerlitzchen die ich nicht brauche. Das erkennen der Vögel funktioniert sehr gut, aber ich bekomme nur Bilder wenn ein Vogel erkannt wurde. Ich möchte direkt auf mein Vogelhaus zugreifen und nicht nur gnadenhalber ein Bild bekommen wenn es da irgend einer KI gerade gefällt. Ist doch mein Vogelhaus! Vereinfacht bitte das Interface, einfachere Auswahl (das dauert alles viel zu lange) und bitte Button für direkten Zugriff auf den Stream im lokalen Netz. Dann gibts mehr Punkte. Bilder von anderen Vogelhäusern ist zwar nett aber wenn ich die nicht wählen kann sondern mir nur irgendwelche zwangsweise aufgeschaltet werden interessiert mich das nicht.

Got the connected bird house for Christmas, great build quality, presumably good hardware, but the app is something else… Why does everything these days need it’s own social network built into while neglecting usability on core features, like you know an easily accessible list of all bird visitors’ photos. Scrap everything else and the app would be 10x better! What I’d expect: - simple list/gallery of all photos from bird visitors, filter by date, bird, maybe season - this is the core functionality so make this fast and super easy to accessible, no need for multiple steps to save them to some collection… - direct access button for live stream - direct access for useful camera settings - one single optional button to list bird house cams of friends I selectively opted in No use for / gets in my way of daily use: - tab bar at bottom cluttered with social feature buttons I couldn’t care less about, why are there so many different buttons which all do kinda the same - I just could care less to see other people’s birds from all around the world. If I’d like to see random birds from all around the world instead of from my garden I could just search Google images, wouldn’t I? - premium subscription - I bought a bird house camera and want to watch the images it takes, why do I need a subscription? It’s not even explained what it’s for…? Would it remove all the social network functionality and make the app more simple and straight forward to use? I’d actually pay for that! - random other people’s photos, again could this please just turned off once and for all? - every time I get a new bird visitor I need to manually save the photos to my collection, required too many manual steps which should work automatically without a single tap - also no I don’t want to share them with anyone, just save them to my collection already. - also overly prominent send holiday cards button I could probably go on, but also just don’t want to be negative. The idea for a connected bird house which can automatically detect its visitors and also parts of the execution are great, but the app just feels overly cluttered with (at least for me) useless features that make the few features I really like and want overly hard to access. Hope this will improve in the future, then I’d even be willing to add 2-3 more such bird houses to my garden. But App really needs to improve first.

We got a Bird Buddy this summer, because of all the positive reviews. But it has been really disappointing so far. Not only is our battery really weak and needs recharging every 3 days (even though we purchased it with the solar roof!!), but also does it not take pictures even though birds come to our birdhouse every day. We have only received one picture so far and it is of poor quality. The support isn’t helping and doesn’t try to solve the problem. Taking into account how expensive this birdhouse was, we are really disappointed and want a refund.

I get every day some new Fotos and the Info what for bird are in my garden and it look like as I am in my garden with my birds 🥰

… please make changes in collections easier. For example if a bird gets recognized as wrong species it is quite difficult to add these pictures to an existing but correct album. Also: please introduce a nighttime schedule where the camera turns off and thus energy can be saved. But all in all a really great product. I am very satisfied.

Die App, passend zum Feeder, funktioniert wunderbar und ist auch grafisch sehr schön umgesetzt. Der Feeder reagiert prompt und es gibt keine lags. Die App wird laufend verbessert und User Vorschläge werden laufend übernommen. Bin sehr zufrieden, bitte weiter so!

Unless you are new to Bird Buddy and saving everything no matter what, the most commonly used button for more seasoned Bird Buddy users (that are more selective with what is actually worth saving) is the discard button. This latest update buries that button in a Multi-Option menu. What used to be a simple single click is now multi-click. What I don’t understand is why “share” stays on as a single click when I don’t think I’ve ever used it but once or twice in the past 1.5 years to share a clip with my a family member. If you have to bury something, bury share and give us back a single click discard please. Even if you don’t bury the share button, there’s still plenty of screen real estate to put a single click discard back where it is supposed to be. Heck, even just putting a red trash can icon on the screen will do the trick. I really don’t understand what the devs were thinking by burying the most used button, but I’m hopeful they’ll correct this mistake. Under Frenzy mode in my Pro account, I probably discard 25 to 30 sessions a day and save something from maybe 1 to 3 sessions a day. Easy to use discard is a must. If not for this mistake, this is easily a 5 star app.

I found this years ago on a Kickstarter. It has turned out to be an amazing investment. The camera in the feeder is wonderful. I get fantastic pictures and sound. What a great way to watch your winged visitors.

Watching a community of birds is a great thing —- just wish I could deter the squirrels!

Updated to 3.0.4 today and cannot save photos on my iPhone. Now it takes multiple clicks to remove a visitor. What was a good functioning app is now an abomination. Please revert to the previous version now!!!
