I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect ebook reading app for a while and so far this one is one of the best I’ve found. The UI is beautiful, it’s very customizable, and it’s well organized. My use case is a little specific as I’m using it to read foreign language texts, which means I often need to define/lookup words. It’s SO close to being perfect for me. The only thing I would change is that you can’t bring up the inline context menu with the pencil, only with your finger. I wish there was at least an option to not have the pencil automatically highlight, but instead to bring up the menu, as it does with the finger. If the devs were to ever add this option it would easily be my favorite ebook reading app.

As others have mentioned the app is a great epub reader. For the sake of using the app in Portrait Mode: - Add Column View Option - Currently on allowed in Landscape Mode - Split Screen Feature to open the app in two windows on an iPad. Please add columns to Portrait Mode. For sHowever, please use caution with adding notes as these notes are not always saved. Additonally, the app needs to allow for the open to support two instances of the same app being opened. Both items are crucial for students notetaking and studying.

I’ve been using this reader for epub3 books with audio embedded and it works really well. There are a couple quirks, but it does allow me to switch between listening and reading without losing my place. I had a problem where it didn’t pause correctly for Google maps directions But when I submitted an error report the author fixed it and sent me a pre-released test within a day. So the author is very responsive and wants to make this better.

I’ve been looking for an ebook app forever and finally, FINALLY, found one that does (almost) everything I need - syncs with Calibre, my phone, and my laptop. The UI could be a little better but hey, whatever. I’d also love an option to export all my notes and highlights in my entire library but that’s a pretty niche use.

I’m so happy to finally have an app that works seamlessly with Calibre and syncs my books across devices. I’ve also received excellent support when I had some questions.

I’ve been trying to find the right app for reading and I think this is it. First I tried Apple Books but found out they offload your books into the cloud, so if I’m offline I can’t access them. Then I tried Kindle but found that uploaded books there are shown as documents and the syncing sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t. This feels like the best, and the fact you can access the Standard Ebooks library is just unbelievably good. Honestly, you will never have to purchase a book again if you do. This is also available on Android and Web (thank you) and the reader has all the features I care about. I do wish I could scroll with the volume buttons but I haven’t seen another app with that feature on iOS so I guess it’s a limitation. The cloud storage is appreciated and the Calibre plugin is extremely appreciated. The subscription is not needed but convenient and the prices (for my use case) is a bargain. Frankly, it’s a steal. Thanks to you all for respecting my privacy too. I can finally be rid of Kindle.

Bookfusion is getting really good but we BADLY need inline notes display for epub (like kindle has) instead of jumping to note location. back' button is absolutely not efficient. This is not a minor limitation for anyone who reads scholarly and literary epubs, which I assume is a significant portion of users who would pay for an cloud ereading and annotation app. It is a huge gap which completely rules out bookfusion for epubs of this kind.
