Game Changing Tool # 01 - PERSONALISED SOCIAL STORIES

That in mind, our personalised stories put your child in the spotlight - not only placing them together with those that they most love and trust, but also introducing them to the characters they're about to meet. This is infinitely more engaging than generic stories that have no point of connection. Courageous Kids has a highly customisable collection of purpose written stories and illustrations that gently explain what will happen in any number of scenarios. So your super hero is now the super hero of their own stories. And whether you choose from our custom illustrations, or upload photos of your own, personalisation has never been easier.

Game Changing Tool # 02 - VISUAL PLANNER

Plan to succeed with our visual planner! We know how hard it can be to get your child confidently in sync with the sequence of things that need to happen before things can actually happen. Which is why we've created a picture based tool that features colourful and easy to understand icons. Seeing what's next reduces anxiety, and being able to independently independently check where they're up to builds confidence. It even helps distractible kids who have trouble with sustained focus as there's a range of "sensory breaks", designed by our paediatric OT. These give your child some energy building or calming time before getting on with the next scheduled task.

Game Changing Tool # 03 - SOCIAL RULES GAMES

Too often, social rules are assumed knowledge, not directly explained. Courageous Kids provides an engaging range of games that foster fun conversations around whether specific behaviours in various contexts are 'silly' or 'sensible'. Framed in this way, your child can increasingly understand WHY rules exist, while simultaneously getting positive feedback for making more sensible choices ahead of finding themselves in those situations.
