Not worth
Paid £20 for the app and still doesn’t even include all features. Still need to pay an extra £2 per month for an ‘upgrade’. Not worth.

I really like this app and I would give it five stars if it worked on devices other than Apple. Unfortunately I’d already paid for the household subscription before I realised this. No one else in my household uses Apple so they are unable to use this app, thus rendering it fairly useless to us
This app starts out looking quite straightforward. Insert what you have and what you need. What could be simpler? Until you try to run a household with it. What have you got? Is it in bags, bottles, boxes, cans, cartons, jars, loaves, packets, packs or something else? You only get to choose from a selection, not add in the way it’s actually packaged or sold. Still you can keep track of what you have. Well, not really. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to how it’s added to the list. So cleaning materials can finish up in the middle of the frozen food. And you can’t define how things are listed. Buy cans of peas regularly? Each purchase gets listed separately. And you can’t change or add categories. Expecting to get an idea of what your shopping list will cost? No, there’s no facility to record prices. Check on what is “wasted”? Only in some cases. Who would record bread slice by slice? But it doesn’t seem to make a difference whether you throw some, half or a whole loaf away. It’s just “finished”. There’s room for a great deal more “personalisation”. And, as a thought, where do you store your food? Wouldn’t it be an idea to be specific? Does it go in the freezer, the fridge, the cereal containers, the coffee, salt, sugar, tea jars or in the cupboard? How many locations should there be? Effectively, I have 3 freezer locations, 2 fridges and 5 cupboards. And when I’ve figured out what to buy, I have to transfer it all, item by item, to a shopping list app. May be okay if living hand to mouth, but not so good when settled. Suggestions are made but rarely acted on. I have been waiting years for a ‘Chilled’ category to be added and it hasn’t happened. So much easier if, like ‘units’, the user could add or modify. And great care has to be taken. No facility to modify things if you get it wrong and no facility to undo errors either.
Would be great, if the used up transferred the item to the shopping cart to be purchased again instead of completely removing it from the inventory, and more UK friendly, as far inventory goes it needs to be clean, efficient and simple - importing products and restocking and sorting products to suppliers I.e grouping products to a supplier bu stating when importing where/who it was purchased from, making it simpler for the user to know where the item can be repurchased from, making supply runs efficient.
I totally love the idea of this app and as a new user I can see from the version history that it is updated frequently and new ideas are added. All good! Before I can improve the rating, the following issues really need to be addressed: 1. Ability to undo something that is marked as used up, either with a “are you sure” prompt or by going into journal to add back. It’s too easy (and very annoying to re-add items!) to click used up on an item accidentally. 2. Set best before dates as further back than 1 year. Example: spices can be used many years after their best before, as can tinned goods. If this “1 year max” setting is for legal reasons to prevent some idiot suing you, perhaps set a warning that says “we don’t recommend using items over 1 year, are you sure you want to set this date?”. 3. Add the ability to set suitable recipe items. Currently a recipe is showing as having items in stock, but I’m pretty sure using pickled onions when onions are required will not taste quite right. If I could note what is and what isn’t suitable it would allow me to see what I actually need to buy, rather than most assuming I have all I need or presuming it is wrong and end up buying everything on the list just in case. 4. Ability to change theme and layout of a space after creation. 5. Thumbnail view within spaces/items. 6. Ability to search for items in recipe finder, handy when you have loads of items in stock. 7. More sort options in spaces/items/recipe finder, plus grouping would also be handy. I’ll update my review as necessary, this app has so much potential and I am fully behind your mission.
I have recently become more aware of the food we waste at home and the impact this has on our environment. The Cozzo app is a great way for me to keep track of what I have at home when I’m shopping and even reminds me when stuff is about to go out of date 👍🏻 Now has ability to find recipes that use the ingredients we have. Keeps getting better!
Well, I had thought this was a pretty handy app and worth paying the money for. But then they pushed an update through today that has wiped all my food data and replaced it with a very old and out of date list. So think I’ll be looking for something more reliable to use now…
It would be useful to be able to add custom recipes and meals rather than having to use the database.. I can’t add basic recipes like ham egg and chips or meals that use leftovers so it’s really pointless for me. also I have unopened jars in my pantry but the ones I’m currently using in my fridge and you can’t have products in two places at once which limits the usefulness of the space feature.
Love the app it’s now my main way of keeping track of the food at home and minimising waste. Congrats on making an easy to use food tracker app- not easy
Great app for keeping track and helping with shopping and meal planning
