“How can we present the Catholic Church on television?”
In March of 1998, a tradition was born when Bishop John Sherlock, the first Chair of the National Catholic Broadcasting Council (NCBC), celebrated Mass at St, Michael’s Cathedral and broadcasted it across Canada.
Our purpose is clear...
Pope Francis said that the Mass is the very mystery at the centre of our salvation. The National Catholic Broadcasting Council has been connecting the Catholic faithful together through the mystery that is the Daily TV Mass since 1988.
With the assistance of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) and the leadership of the late Bishop John Sherlock, Michael McManus, our founding Executive Director, worked with a team of people to bring the Mass to TV each day reaching Catholics across Canada.
With the invention of the internet the reach of the Daily TV Mass is now worldwide and our commitment remains to build the community of the faithful by keeping them connected. The Daily TV Mass keeps tens of thousands of faithful Catholics connected with our faith and community.

I’ve been attending The Daily TV Mass for the last3 1/2 years and I love it! It warms my heart and soul, helps me spend my day spiritually and guides me in my daily life. My Daily Comfort
The Daily TV Mass is something I look forward to each morning. It lifts my spirit and calms my soul and prepares me for the days events. Over the years I feel I’ve come to know the priests, lectors, and choir members. They are like old friends. I can’t think of a better morning ritual.

I am so thankful for the daily TV mass. I get so much out of the very insightful homilies. This program is beyond a blessing. I have been helped in so many ways that I cannot thank you enough. The daily tv mass has given me light in a dark time. I am forever thankful this mass is in my life!

I have watched Daily Mass for long time! I love to watch very early in the morning while the day is so new and peaceful! The celebrants are such holy men that I feel so blessed. Father Henk is my favorite as are all the others. I would love to write to Fr Henk but don’t know if it is appropriate . Just know that I treasure being able to watch the Holy Mass in my home!
