This app lets you measure the point-to-point (great-circle) distance between two or more waypoints on a map or measure the surface area defined by a polygon having three or more points as its corners.
It uses online maps so it needs an internet connection.
Tap and hold to set a new waypoint, tap the options icon to read the manual or to open the settings view to change the map type or the measuring unit. You can choose between (kilo)meters, feet/yards/miles and nautical miles. The options menu also lets you choose to go to the Save/Restore view.
Tap the calculated measurement at the bottom of the map to switch between feet/yards/miles or meters/hectometers/kilometers.

Strange metrische System
KM or m not available anymore. Shows hm. What does it mean ? One hundred meters ? This is no official parameter.
Surprise, surprise!
A nice and interesting app. Thanks developers! It seems to include the spherical surface of our blue planet. Quite amusing to find out distances or the square meters of areas of different shapes. Fun! I bought the pro version to support the developers.

Cool useful app!!!
Lacks a spherical projection
I wish the app offered a spherical projection, that is to say, show the Earth as a globe that one can rotate. For me this is a more natural way to look at the Earth.
Good, but could be better
I use it often to figure distances of parking lots and buildings and just other basic measurements, but it would be great if it allowed you to zoom in further. Especially so you can get more exact point locations to measure from.
Restore feature
At one time I could mark a starting point and use the app to find a distance, starting at a known point and searching for a point 366’ away. Can’t get the app to do that now?
Current drawbacks
What happen to map view to draw around obstructions? This used to be a highly useful app for yard and field area measures
