Distance Measure

I wish the app offered a spherical projection, that is to say, show the Earth as a globe that one can rotate. For me this is a more natural way to look at the Earth.

I use it often to figure distances of parking lots and buildings and just other basic measurements, but it would be great if it allowed you to zoom in further. Especially so you can get more exact point locations to measure from.

At one time I could mark a starting point and use the app to find a distance, starting at a known point and searching for a point 366’ away. Can’t get the app to do that now?

What happen to map view to draw around obstructions? This used to be a highly useful app for yard and field area measures

If you’re interested in the distance between locations small and far there is no better app.

I know that Google maps has a measuring ability, but it's not dead simple like Distance measure. It's nice the author has included a manual, but I've never needed to use it. I've been able to do a lot of complex measurements, both for distance and area. I've always found it to be very accurate. I wouldn't use it to replace surveying,But for the casual user who wants to know the distance/area of something that can't be entered by name, Address for coordinator, this is a great tool. Throw in the fact that it also measures area and you can select metric versus US makes it my go to app for Long distance measuring. People will often ask me how did you figure it out The length of that OHV route?. I show them this app and they immediately download it. I'm sure there's probably something similar on android, but my friends that had android phones could not find it on google play so they felt left out. It has a basic search feature, but it always knows where I am and that's how I use it most often. Great stuff

No good. It needs to follow roads.

Very difficult to use. Not user friendly at all. Very disappointing. Actually miles would be useful in this country. Just a thought
