Dropbox Passwords

Sorprendido de que Dropbox haya producido una aplicación tan mediocre. Si en los años 90 teníamos el “Infierno de las DLLs”, ahora tenemos el de las contraseñas. Parece imposible realizar un repositorio central de contraseñas para cualquier navegador y cualquier aplicación. Si al menos se pusieran de acuerdo en cuántos caracteres, con qué mínimos y si se aceptan o no caracteres especiales, podríamos memorizar mejor las contraseñas.

Una App a la que le queda mucho camino por recorrer. De momento sólo admite inicios de sesión y tarjetas. No hay notas seguras, posibilidad de incluir documentos, etc... Lo peor es que tampoco tiene implementación de doble factor, algo imprescindible hoy en día. Si la misma cuenta de Dropbox permite doble factor, ¿cómo voy a utilizar Passwords para conectarme a ella? Venga, que lo podéis hacer mejor.

Al instalarla en iOS, tras sincronizar con la cuenta de Dropbox y hacer que se pueda desbloquear con la huella, entra en bucle pidiendo la huella y no se abre (Tanto en iPad como en iPhone). En Windows 10 si funciona.

i have no idea why an app that stores passwords takes such an amount of storage. Useless

The settings contain a function to auto-lock the app either after you close it or after specified intervals. I have had mine set to autolock after 1 minute. This morning it was still open and visible even though I had not used it since waking up. I left it open yesterday at some point. Last May, I had to change as many passwords as possible b/c I handed my phone to a server to apply a coupon to my bill not realizing I had left the Passwords app open. It also failed to autolock then as the server was gone for about 10 mins then after they returned my phone to me, I saw all my passwords were visible to anyone and was concerned for my financial accounts given the inadvertant password exposure to the server and possibly others at the restuarant it may have been handed off to add the coupon. This is clearly a major safety flaw in the app.

I lost all my passwords and my Dropbox Only You folder got completely deleted and erased

Extremely poor design. Could not authenticate itself and wiped my Dropbox account of my iPhone!

Seems like this is yet another product Dropbox has abandoned.

Works fine on my iPhone. Won’t open at all on my iPad. Restarting, updating, and reinstalling don’t work. A tech company as big as Dropbox should really be more on top of their mobile apps.

always was ok. now i can’t sync across multiple devices. useless.
