Dwell: Audio Bible

I discovered this app during Covid and it has been an amazing way to dig into the word

Very very disappointed with this app lately.. paid for the full version, and things started glitching and the audio wasn’t working, decided to delete the app and redownload now I can’t log in at all it just keeps loading forever..

Thank you for presenting the timeless word of God in an engaging and fresh manner. I discovered this app while listening to the weekly SHE READS TRUTH PODCAST with Guest Ann Voskamp. She could not recommend it more! And I agree, I love DWELLing in the word too. Any chance you could partner with SHE READS TRUTH and create a SRT daily reading plan using their daily devotional scripture texts? Thanks again for a beautiful scripture companion.

This app it too slow!!

This audible Bible app has given me the opportunity to spend more time immersing in God’s Word when I’m doing things that don’t require mental concentration, so otherwise mindless time spent in God’s Word.

I spiritually cultivate everyday and this app was pivotal in helping me develop this habit over time, both in the morning and evening, as part of my routine. It perfectly supplements Bible reading and prayer, and I’m grateful to have such a thoughtful app. However, more often than I’d like I’m exposed to “concepts” and doctrines regarding Trinity which are not specifically mentioned in the Bible. In the Bible it does not say names of “Father, Son and Holy Spirit” rather name of. There is only one name under which we are to be saved, that is the name of Jesus. I do not pray to “the father, son and Holy Spirit” but Jesus Christ, neither do the disciples baptize in the name of the father son and Holy Spirit, rather in Jesus Christ’s name as cited in Acts through Jesus baptizing, his disciplines baptizing, including recordings of Peter and John. Regardless, I just prefer if the app could be noble enough as to not use the general belief in Trinity just because many of the developers believe in this or it’s common to many Christians to believe— the Bible (words of God) did not see a need to say “trinity” and neither do I. there is also the chance that when saying in the name of Father Son and Holy Spirit, the disciples at the time already know the name of these three. Though in different times and different planes they are not three different persons; Anyway that’s only my faith so I won’t expand upon that. In essence, as a non-denominational Christian I’d prefer not to have to brace myself for brainwashing everytime— to be severe. Because not everyone believes in Trinity. Just as people would prefer not to have Catholic teachings and saints inserted into their daily listening, I’d greatly appreciate if phrasings and subjective beliefs that are not specifically recorded or can be referenced from the Bible be considered the “status quo”. A writer myself, I never write reviews. however, today hearing the sharing state: generally it’s widely known that Trinitarianism” or something along those lines really offended me. However, I’m not writing a review to denigrate but in the hopes that devs can really stay more aligned directly with the words of God in the hearings and reflections, which is why I fell in love with the app in the first place. Thank you.

I have had the regular Bible app for years but this took it to another level of listening and diving deeper!

I stumbled upon this app and it has been what I’ve been looking for! I started the chronological plan and I love the dramatic reading as I follow along. (I also appreciate all the setting options available). God’s word is meant to be engaged with for it IS alive and active! I realized years ago that I am an auditory learner and so I’ve been trying to find an engaging Bible reading plan and this has been great so far! I also realize that early believers mostly heard the word and I wanted to sit in that this year and hear how they heard allowing God’s word to shape me.
