English Heritage Days Out

The App needs to be updated. It’s a shame. I would like to have a digital card to display on my app for site discounts but, at least for me, it doesn’t work at all. The web site is also currently glitchy. I do, however, get pushed the news letter to my email. That seems to work.

doesn’t deserve the current 2 stars it has, though. useful for finding English Heritage sites quickly that are near you. Wish the details about each site were more readily available.

Not optimized for larger than 4 inch screens. The app doesn’t show any EH properties based on location. Very unintuitive.

Selecting an individual map from a Map and Route page always starts zoomed out to North America. Also, Sherborne Old Castle is in the ocean off Ghana!

This is the most complete app I have. And it's free! If you are visiting England or just want to learn some cool stuff by you this is the app for you. No seriously. Download it.

One of the best free apps I have. A lot of great (and accurate) info. Perfect companion for any family looking to explore the "hidden" and "obvious" Gems across England. Excited to see places so close that we never knew of before. Thanks for such a great app!

Very helpful

This could be such a valuable resource for members but sadly it looks like it has been left to die. The UI is very dated, the functionality is poor and the app is slow. I appreciate this takes a financial and time investment from English Heritage but I think this app should be prioritised by management and trustees much more. Personal recommendations: - Update so it looks good on modern devices. - Have the full up to date handbook as standard. - Put audiotours behind a modest paywall, with audiotours which accompany a video so people can tour from their phone. - Integrate the podcasts into the app. - Have a digital membership card accessible through the app. - Have a video section with short films and documentaries about sites and relevant historic subjects. I know my ideas are ambitious. But it would take English Heritage to the next level and be a great members recruitment tool.

This is a terrible app. The map doesn’t work. It’s hard to navigate and doesn’t reflect how brilliant English Heritage sites are.
