The Technology & Purpose
I was gifted the ESV Study Bible in the USA who travelled from India. I utilized the access code inside the hard copy book and created an account in this app. This app gives a great UI experience in 3 major functionalities. The first is Cross References. If you tap on a cross reference alphabet you can see the relevant reference World in a pop up window. This helps to avoid turning pages over pages as in the hard copy. The second is, access to ESV study notes. There is a split window option to study the word and the notes below in one screen, which mimics the reading experience of a hard copy Bible. The third and the greatest functionalities is access to choose another type of study Bible. For example, if you are majoring or interested in archaeology you can access the resources from the archaeology study Bible with lots of photos of places, artifacts and charts. It worth it, buying the hard copy and utilizing the access code and accessing tons of resource’s. It would be great for an iPad user if they could do an enhancement to look the Word and its study notes look one after other as if looks in the iPhone, that would me great. Thanks very much for the entire ESV team. All above and beyond, glory be to Lord Jesus who is to come !!

I love this app - highlighting, marking favourites, inserting notes & adding comments, etc... The fact that it can be used offline is especially helpful for a place where there's no internet access all the time. I've tried many Bible apps and this is one of my favourites. Easily 5 stars.
