WiFi on your iPhone or laptop, anywhere, anytime. Makayama has teamed up with Hotspotr.com and Free-hotspot.com to provide you with data around the world. In the US and Europe, there's a hotspot on almost every streetcorner. This app helps you find them quickly, using the built-in GPS of the iPhone.
The software leads you to the nearest of 100,000 wireless hotspots, in 15,000 cities and 132 countries, with the touch of a button. It's WiFi for Dummies. Get your mail and browse the web without being charged. The ideal WiFi-tool for frequent travellers and mobile professionals.
The app shows you the nearest free hotspot address, provides directions on Google Maps, and shows additional information, such as the hotspot provider, phone number and website. You can browse the full database manually by country and city, or choose to automatically show results based on your location.
The application doesn’t depend on WLAN scanning, which would limit the range to only 25 yards, but uses GPS to pinpoint all known hotspots up to 10 miles away. All the wireless accesspoints are locally stored on your iPhone, and GPS usage is also offline available, so no expensive data roaming is needed. When abroad, you save hundreds of dollars in roaming cost, because you will always find a broadband data connection for your laptop and iPhone.
This app will let you get your mail or surf the web as quickly as possible. Just run it and it'll connect you for to the internet. It doesn't get easier than this.

$3 Free WiFi Worth For Nothing.
In Moscow this $3 "free" application finds nothing but its 7 (seven) pre-installed hotspots of surprisingly little predictable value. To begin with that one does not need to purchase this program to guess that in Baltschug-Kempinski Hotel one should certainly find a wi-fi hotspot. Other six useful Moscow addresses are of the same kind. Whether it works better overseas?
App crashed
This app show a blank black page when you want to connect & crashed when you press on the list of alphabet. Developers must fix this costly problem or a refund $ to me. Now don't think about this app until I review again this app when they fix this. See you later.
Wanneer update?
Ik heb deze app al een tijd geleden gekocht, in 2009, maar er is nooit meer een update van gekomen. De database is ondertussen zo verouderd dat het niet meer praktisch is. Zonde van de uitgave dus, zou graag een up-to-date programma willen hebben voor m'n geld...
te laat
Als je een app voor 2,39 koopt verwacht je wel wat, zonder de huidige recensies te lexe heb ik op buy gedrukt. Maar helaas het is niet wat ik er van verwacht had. Graag een update uitvoeren met wifi locaties!
Informatie niet up-to-date
Slechte service. Heb in Duitsland verschillende aangegeven punten geprobeerd, maar geen wifi signaal te vinden. Volgens mij geeft de site betere info, de app deugt in ieder geval niet en mag wat mij betreft als malware beschouwd worden.

Helaas is de database niet compleet. Bij ons in het dorp zitten minimaal twee restaurants waar je op terras gratis in kan loggen. Maar het programma stuurt me minimaal 10km verder weg. Jammer genoeg kunnen we zelf niet deze locatie's toevoegen.
Waardeloze app.
Weggegooid geld. Op de locatie waar ik zit zijn 2 netwerken op 140 km van mij vandaan. De rest van Indonesië heeft geen freewifi volgens deze app.
Handig
Gewoon een goede en handige app. Zeer gemakkelijk in het buitenland met een routeplanner.
App kan nog beter
App ziet er goed uit maar een extra instelling zou wenselijk zijn. Het is voor niet t-mobile/kpn gebruikers in NL lastig en overbodig om al deze (abo) hotspots in beeld te krijgen. Daarom graag een optie voor echt gratis. (Please a switch to show only completely free hotspots that can be used by everyone)
