Frollo - Money Manager

This is a great app for budgeting and it’s free! No in app purchases or premium fees. It has synced bank accounts including ANZ plus and automatically categorises transactions. I also like that it calculates average expenses for things like groceries. Very easy to use too. I’ve used a different app in the past that cost $75 per year but was confusing to set up. I’ve tried many others but this has been the best

Often won’t let me set up new bills and comes up with “sorry, we can’t save your changes right now” It would also be nice if it let you set up a quarterly or annual budget. Currently it only allows weekly, quarterly or monthly… which isn’t that useful when you have rates and other bill quarterly or annually.

Much better than some of the other options using the Frollo license. (Eg. mymo by P&N Bank)

Had Frollo for a few years now and while it’s a good platform it’s super frustrating as it regularly misses picking up transactions from bank accounts and constantly forgets prior categorisations for same transactions requiring you to constantly recategorise transactions that have already been allocated to a category.

Have been loving the features and interface but it keeps freezing despite the updates. It’s a shame, I constantly need to close the app and reopen to unfreeze it. Really annoying

When linking to ME Bank I can only link 3 of my 5 accounts. Will not link my everyday transaction or my online savings accounts. Only links my two term deposits and my credit card. Disappointed as no use to me without these :(

I’ve had this app for a while but don’t find myself reaching for it. The default has too many categories and I personally found it onerous to have to simply things into a less complicated category structure. The 3 menu options are confusing to me, for example I wanted to know how much I spent on Petrol but I just don’t feel this app makes it simple and intuitive to find that.

Overall this is an impressive money management tool that pulls data using Open banking, I don’t know of any other service that does this yet. I have an issue with not being able to unsubscribe but the dev response here was prompt and they said they’re working on a fix. My one other concern is that upon setting up bank connections one of the fields Frollo gets is the bank account mailing address. I would prefer if that was not collected.
