Global YO: eSIM+ & Travel Data

I had trouble connecting to Global Yo but when I contacted customer service I had a great team assisting me. I was pleased to see it was real humans not bots or AI VA’s. We all know humans are much better as they can think laterally. The team reviewed the screenshots I sent and told me what to try to see if it would work. Finally I was able to connect. I have used Global Yo in the past with no problems connecting for the first time. I have also recommended it to others. Previously I recommended it based on good deals, good amounts of data for a low price. Now I also recommend it for fantastic customer service support also. I was helped by more than one team member including Ninja’s Anastasia, Ari and Ana. Thanks team, top job!

When it works it works great. But when it doesn’t you’re on your own, don’t expect any decent response. They’ll ask you to send screenshots, in my case six, of different settings then ignore you. I’ve used their services 3 times on overseas trips and find it intermittent. After this last trip l won’t use them again.

Got the unlimited Data plan, but couldn’t even use it properly. After a few hundred mb (just getting google map directions), I would get speeds as low as 0.01 mb/s. Most of my trip was waiting to load directions or my location because of these slow speeds. After asking for help, the responses took a while (waiting 2 days now) and were just about threshold usage, even when I was under (supposedly 1gb per day). Speeds would get to 30mb/s early in the morning, but after 20 minutes of use, down to average a few 100kb/s. Overall I think next time I’ll spend that bit extra for another company. Whilst it was unlimited data, I couldn’t even use it majority of the time.

Bought sims for Japan - Unlimited sim throttled even after 24 hours, and frequent dropouts and slowness otherwise. Also the support team talk weird lol Recommend you YO with a competitor tbh

I purchased the sim for Timor Leste. As a a developing nation, it was already risky making the purchase. When I got there it didn’t work. This had more to do with the country than the company. Once I submitted the issue and requested a refund I had the funds in my account within 4 days. I look forward to using this company in the future with future eSIM purchases. Sometimes it’s not always the product received but the service attached and this happened in this case. Would recommend this product.

I bought 20gb for a 12 day trip to big cities in India, I’ve been able to use <2gb, and even that surprises me as I have multiple Speedtest measures showing a download speed of 0.00mb/s. Not to mention the massive battery drain, I check the battery usage and 70% of the battery is used for “no mobile overage”. There is no excuse for no connection and throttling to 0mb/s unless you’re literally just rorting people. Absolute waste of money, to write this review I’ve had to connect to someone else’s hotspot because I couldn’t connect with the eSIM - that’s how bad it is.

Great product for roaming and very good prices. However I’ve tried several times to get a receipt/invoice so I can use as expense claim and support is useless, and not been able to get anything. Will use for personal reasons but for business reasons will pay 10x price on my roaming plan so I can least get reimbursed by my employer.

I’ve been using this app for the last 3 weeks from India to uae turkey and all over Europe to Italy. the only problem I’ve had is from my own misunderstanding, yet they were quick to help and even gave me a refund without hastle the service works exactly as I expected and couldn’t recommend it more we have been to 9 countries in the last 3 weeks and the same sim has worked in every single one without issue making getting around a breeze. These guys have the cheapest sims I could find and definitely doesn’t reflect their service as it truely deserves the 5 stars. Never used an eSIM before, and I have to say I’m beyond impressed. The value for money, consistency of coverage and reliability of speed is better then using my physical sim on my home network in Australia… Once it’s set up and you’ve got the eSIM installed and all the settings correct, it just works. Even when other friends had no service mine was flawless. Cannot recommend highly enough for travellers

It is cheap that’s why we all fall for it, as I did. Of course like everything when it works it’s fine when you need support then you know how good the company is. There is zero support and zero care !!! I’ve messaged them at least 10 times no response, they just remove your questions :( I got screen shots that my support requests was removed without resolution. When you traveling you don’t have luxury of waiting days and weeks to get things fixed. Looks like they have their connection to their local network provider and I am getting no signal. Now it’s going to cost me more because I need data and have to go and buy a local SIM card, since there is no response from their help line. So PLEASE don’t fall for this app, try another app, READ all the reviews good and bad before you decide.
