Guardio - Mobile Security

Glitching after “found 5 leaks” apparently and then it asks for payment. Yeah F that.

So far I am very impressed with its security features for both my phone and the web. I use another security software for number blocking but it seems not able to block enough now to be fair Guardio is not perfect like most other products are but it’s pretty good. One thing I wish I could do was submit a number that is deemed spam or scam.

When I signed up for the free trial it charged me over $20 like don’t put your debit info on this I can’t even unsubscribe after downloading the free trial it doesn’t even show up in my subscriptions on my iCloud now I have to pay 14.99 a month and I don’t want to be subscribed such a waste of money

I saw an ad for this app on YouTube- a short video inviting me to a free trial of Guardio after it made the argument my data was most likely being sold, and that Guardio was the solution to this problem. I clicked the ad and was taken to their assessment form- they ask questions about your security habits. Here's the kicker- their "test" assessed that I was at high risk despite me answering with the least risky answer for every question. That's because their "assessment" is meant to psychologically trick you into paying for their service, regardless of what you answered. I don't know about you, but any company that does that screams scam to me. I wouldn't trust them with my data. For the makers of this app- have higher standards for yourself, and reconsider your marketing practices.

As soon as I signed up for the free trial, they charged me. Nevermind that but the app seriously expects me to believe that my last data leak was in 2020, it is almost 2025, there is no way. And the permissions the app requires?! why do you need to be able to read, compose and send emails?? Total sketchy nonsense.

I want to say buyer beware! This app charged me a monthly fee then a yearly charge? September25th, 2024 charged twice? When opening app it requested me to sign up for a monthly charge, which I agreed, upon attempting to open app was kicked into a loop of saying I had to resign in, confirming cost credentials, which I did, figuring it was for the monthly charge, they deducted a yearly charge? This happened both on the same day? I have been attempting to get refunds, now for a week plus, I keep getting bounced around? They have all the information, from where they deducted, just refuse to acknowledge? My name is Chris Graham, I have been attempting to get a refund for two charges on same date September 25th, 2024! A monthly charge $14.99 A yearly charge $119.88 This began with me attempting to cancel $14.99 charge. I was required to re-login to make cancelation? Everytime time, I log in to attempt to cancel, I’m re-charged? This is a vicious cycle, I have attempted to discuss with your support team, but continue to be told I must follow a required step of reliving in and cancelling! You have identified all transactions to my account, including data used to sign in to Guardio? Why are you being so stubborn in refunding my funds, for an app I do not have access to? Note: why is it when responding to your notification it states a positive or negative outcome has been reached, I the customer cannot reply with a negative, bad, extremely displeased action, your format only allows a positive? Guardio has billed me a yearly rate and a monthly rate, I cannot use app? Every time I try to log in you try bill more money? I have tried requesting re-imbursement? You continue to say I must log in to request, ask again for billing information, but if I do not submit you kick me out? You have all billing information, including dates and transactions? Why no refund! I don’t even have access to use, every time I try to log in you ask for billing credentials? What I do not understand, I did not click yes to your app except to try, because of a card linked to an account, you auto billed me? Somebody Please Help!

Guardio lets me not worry those notice that appear sporatic notices are comforting. Go get the bad bugs. And it does.

Poorly advertised to what it actually does and how it does it. Is expensive. Does not work well. I’ve had it for months and I find it sorely lacking. Bottom line: WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
