Thanks so much to cave for updating this. IOS is a surprisingly great platform for this type of game. If we could also get an update for Bug Princess that would be amazing!

Works really well on my iPad Pro, full screen, clear display. Epic Game! Beats other games like Bullet Hell Monday, AKA to Blue, Danmaku Unlimited 3 etc hands down!! Thank you Cave!

This game is genuinely amazing but for the amount I paid I would expect a full screen experience 7 months into the iphone 5's lifecycle. Sort it pls cave....

Unfortunately unlike other Cave titles Dodonpachi has a lot of slowdowns when things get hectic (boss battles in particular) which is a real shame. UPDATE: Turns out there is a 'wait control' in options that enables slowdowns for authenticity. Cave you crazy people. After disabling it the game runs smooth albeit much more difficult. As for the game itself it is great but doesn't feel as refined as Espgaluda which I feel is the better game. The dot on your ship is really hard to see unlike other shmups as its transparent which is pretty silly. Other than that I love the visuals and the scoring system is easier to get.

This game is the most insane shooter ever. I was already really pleased with my other cave titles such as bug princess 2 and the awesome espgaluda II but this is even more manic. I cannot recommend this game enough, worth every penny of the asking price as you really get what you pay for. Oh and please, PLEASE make Deathsmiles a universal app!!!

I missed the release of this game because I was too obsessed playing ESPgaluda 2. These games are great experiences. I spent so many hours playing the first release 2x on the iPad, I'm so happy it's finally available HD! It looks so good. One thing I would like is the option for simple controls like in the non HD one, so just hyper gauge and shot.

Thankyou Cave, Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou! At last! Firstly this is the best verticle shooter there ever was, is, will be. The only game in nonHD that I kept on my ipad2. but HD is glorious. I begrudge spending more than 69p on a game from the AppStore,must would pay the £7+ for this game again and again. Truly awesome. Get it now!
