The app itself is a good idea but how I have problems with notifications (I don’t get them at all, even though they are on) is just urgh. Also there’s literally no sound if I join a class with my mobile Internet on instead of WiFi, which makes the experience of using the app 100 times worse How long should I wait for you to fix it? I already wrote a message to your support team

There are no any possibilities to create ONE account and login from different devices. You can login from computer through Kakao, but you cannot login in the app in the same way. If you add password in your profile, it's just not saved. If you create a new account (by email and password) there is the same situation, you cannot save password. Thus, you cannot login from another device or just re-login. If you try to reset password, you'll receive THIS: "No password was found registered to this e-mail address. Is it possible that you registered using different e-mail address? Or maybe signed in with an SNS Login?". But you cannot ADD a SNS, you can only CREATE ANOTHER ONE ACCOUNT and if you change your email you still won't be able to reset password. And you are able to delete your account only from the app... in which you cannot login...

It’s not working, I can’t hear others and they can’t hear me speaking either.

used this for the first time today and i already love it! it’s such a great way to learn. i was nervous to join my first session because i thought i’d have to talk but i was relieved to find out you can choose to just be a listener as well! it is a perfect way to practice your listening and speaking in a language, and you can learn new things too!

This app is great but I would truly appreciate it if I could change in between my target languages. Especially if I’m paying for this app. I should have the choice. My target language is French but stuck in Korean. I am going to be learning French next semester and I wanna give this app a chance. Like I said, especially if I’m paying for this app I should have the choice to change in between. Thanks.

Literally was using this for about five minutes I picked Korean by the way, the phrase that it gave me first I already know, so I pronounced it perfectly, but it kept telling me that I got it wrong… Then he gave me another phrase which I pronounced perfectly, and it kept telling me that I was saying the wrong word. Smh

I saw there was a khmer option and wanted to try it. Im taking khmer classes 1v1 online and figured this app would be good practice. NOPE. The words are totally wrong. It sounded like it was speaking SIM rather than a legit language? And when i put that it was wrong it would just repeat over and over… is this just teaching people a made up language and making money off it?

I have given this app a 1 star rating because it constantly is having bugs. I can hear people then all of a sudden I cannot. I like using the app because I’ve been using it for awhile but lately it’s been terrible to use. Please fix your issues.

Amazingly good app for language exchange. Excellent functionality, features and sound quality. Actually, Hilokal is my favorite app out of the many I have tried for REAL learning and not only “social talking”. There are real lessons, the kind you will not find many of on the other apps. There are many useful features which may take a little time to learn how to use, but it is worth it.

The only thing free is chatting with AI. You actually learn anything unless you pay for the premium package. I’m deleting the app it isn’t worth my time.
