hipages - hire a tradie

I used this apps since 2022 found it’s getting worse and worse. Posted 3 jobs without any answers. Finally sorted it out from others. Not treated respectfully. Won’t use it anymore

Unfortunately, my experience with this site has been disappointing, and I feel like I wasted my money

Tried it once and the tradie didn’t show up. Tried to say it was me that cancelled. Luckily they gave me a refund of the finding fee. Also really annoyed I keep getting ad notifications unrelated to jobs I posted. Only way to disable this is to disable all notifications which doesn’t make sense if you are waiting for job notifications and messages. Deal breaker.

I used this app and it gave my personal details to an unlicensed business that has now caused me to be $5000 AUD out of pocket. Be very careful with your personal details on this app and the parasites posing as legitimate tradesmen on this site ready to take your money and run.

If hipages spent 1% of the money they spend on advertising on their actual app design it might actually be usable. The app is so terribly built and lacking in basic UX.

The hipages team confirmed they don’t show the tradies bad reviews on their page, and only positive ones, so you don’t know the quality of the tradies booked through their platform, what a joke. Never using again.

As a tradie, you pay $50-$120 (this was half as much a month or two ago, they doubled the price and act like nothing happened) to receive someone’s contact details. If they change their mind or don’t need the work done anymore, you will lose that money that you paid to receive the “lead”. They don’t gain anything by doing this, they have already been paid their monthly fee and it purely aims at stuffing over sole traders and small business owners for no benefit on their part. This app is a joke.

Don’t waste your time, they don’t deliver on what they say they can do

There are very limited leads on the platform. The new platforms like Bark and Oneflare are way better and cheaper options. Hipages is too old school and doesn’t have much budget for marketing. Just google the key words like commercial cleaning and see where they are racked. You would have some idea on their marketing power. Not recommended
