HUMAX Aura

When I originally got the app I had many of the same problems as other reviewers have stated but my main issue has been the recorder itself. Turning itself off, freezing, and generally being a waste of space. It’s a bit hard to do a fair review of the app when the thing it’s made to control isn’t working properly as well.

This App is only good as a TVGuide! Every time I try to connect to my box i get an error message saying “Your box must be switched on and connected to the same network as your mobile device etc”. Firstly, my box is on. Secondly, this App is supposed to let you send requests to record programs, so how can you do this remotely if you have to be connected to the same network??? Absolute rubbish!

Hi. What a load of rubbish. Will not record tv from app, about time this was fixed. Get it sorted and you will get a better rating from me.

It could have been so much better. It initially starts off ok, then playback of recordings starts stuttering until they’re unwatchable. This happens both when streaming them from the box, and when they’re downloaded onto your device. I contacted support in 2023 and they said an update was coming later that year to address the problem, no change for me so far in 2024.

I have a new Humax Aura 2TB (FVP-4KGTR) which will not connect to the Aura app on my iPhone. I have a MyHumax.net account on my phone and can see my recordings so obviously my phone can communicate with the Aura. However this Aura app will not recognise the Humax box and when I enter the IP address manually, the app asks for the registration code which is immediately displayed on my TV. On entering the app returns “Invalid registration code”. So frustrating since this app cannot have been tested with the latest Aura.

I can’t even get the schedule to work on my actual phone (iPhone 12) let alone pair. I have followed all the instructions and advice and still nothing! Absolutely useless!

Never lets u connect to the box which is on the same network… come humax sort things out we pay a fortune for your products and you can’t get it right

The major selling point of this product is focussed on the interface through the app. Which is shockingly abysmal. IF the app loads the TV guide an immediate problem is identified through the close button being the same colour as the programme you are viewing in app. The hardware is outstanding. The software is wholly inadequate AVOUD AVOID AVOID

Really fed up can’t get app on Microsoft app shop to watch on windows laptop tried everything please sort this out
