Looks good but: - no gmail openid support - no native app animations - tapping keyboard button is a horrible UX - all text output was gone in a middle of a session, can't continue it Just use a website for now.

This is a great companion app for those looking to improve and expand their Japanese vocabulary. While some might be put off by the fact that you need to pay in order to fully utilise this app, to me it's worth every penny. Been a paying customer for over 2 years now.

Makes it easy to work through your current courses. The menu design is great, and it's very clear to me where things are in the app. App is responsive too.

This is mainly a flashcard app with a companion website. This will help Japanese learners build their vocabulary with Kanji and listening and dictation. It also helps listening. Tip - sign up at the website - it will cost less for the same 12-months subscription. The website also has a game called BrainSpeed which forces you to improve your recall time. While this is great for learning Japanese, it falls short in other areas. There are limited courses to choose from. Currently there are only Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English. That means for a one-year subscription, you can't choose Vietnamese or French. (see update below) Since this is a flashcard-system, there is no help for grammar, which means you have to know the basic grammar before you purchase the subscription. For learning Kanji, the best way to to write the words by hand. This app does not offer that - you are restricted to typing your answers in kana. The REAL test of Japanese language lies in the Kanji, so this app falls short of being a perfect help. Having said that, you will definitely find this useful if you're learning Japanese (sorry, I'm not learning the other languages offered), but you will need companion apps to complete your learning. - - - Updated - Sorry, there ARE courses for other languages (including German and French). You just need to load them from the website.

考える時間も充分にとれるし、リスニングもできて単語の辞書引きもタップで見られる。 ひとつだけ欲を言うとするのなら、翻訳を見たいタイミングまで隠して欲しい｡｡ ビギナークラスのわたしには、タップをしてから翻訳が出ると、とても有り難いなと思いました。
