Jeppesen Mobile FD

Leider kann ich nicht viel Gutes über die neue Version schreiben. Sie ist langsamer geworden und wie schon erwähnt sind viele wirklich gute Features nicht mehre vorhanden. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass das jetzige Layout in "Zusammenarbeit mit Usern" entstanden ist. Erstens fehlt, wie schon von einem anderen User geschrieben, die Möglichkeit zu blättern, zweitens fand ich die alte Variante der "Favoriten" (der einzelnen Seiten auf einem bestimmten Airport) hundert mal besser. Man hatte am unteren Rand genau die Anzahl an Karten/Seiten/Plates, die man regelmäßig auf dem Flughafen gebraucht hat. Sehr schade um die App. Die Option des Wetterabrufs ist natürlich eine nette Sache, aber solange die Grundbedienung so umständlich ist (im Vergleich zur vorigen Version) bekommt diese App von mir nur 3 Sterne.

I fully support comment #1. In addition ... Enroute-mode: The function to remove an old ATC routing is now missing. The button to get a list of FIRs to select one to get the operational notes is great, but it should be possible to get all FIR infos (comm, cruise, notes). It is still to tricky to zoom in to catch the little "i" and get the infos (e.g. frequencies). Terminal-mode: The list of STARs/SIDs is to narrow. Some names ending with"....." (e.g. VRMM 10-2D). If a chart is with reference to a single runway direction, it would be an advantage to see the runway designation in the second line next to the chart index on the list. When selecting a Route Airport, there is a list of max. 4 airports. Why are there more empty fields below? It would be great to have the moving aircraft symbol also on detailed apron charts. Beside this, I also flew other EFBs, FD Jeppesen is the best!

Die Gruppierung in die einzelnen Blattgruppen finde ich sehr gut und übersichtlich. Leider wurde dabei ein riesen VORTEIL ENTFERNT, und zwar ist es mit der neuen Version NICHT MEHR möglich durch die Blätter zu blättern! Man muss jetzt jedes einzelne Blatt öffnen um es durchzusehen, aber mit dem öffnen ist es auch automatisch in den Favoriten, auch wenn es das falsche ist! Die Durchblätterfunktion muss unbedingt wieder hinzugefügt werden und das Favoriten Sternchen für jede Seite optional wählbar gemacht werden! Ohne diese Verbesserung rate ich vom Update auf Version 2 ab. Sehr ärgerlich!!

Die Probleme beim Finden von Wegpunkten sind mit der Version 1.0.1 behoben. Die App ist hinreichend schnell und läuft sehr stabil (iPad 2). Abgesehen von Funktionen wie Autorouting, Anzeige der Streckenlänge, etc. , bewährt sich die App im praktischen Einsatz. Die App ist eine echte Erleichterung bei der Planung und während der Flugdurchführung (IFR und VFR). Alle, wirklich alle relevanten Informationen (z.B. RNAV Punkte, FIR Informationen, Lufträume u.a. … ) sind vorhanden. Super! Wenn Jeppesen in einer Version 1.1 zusätzliche Funktionen, ähnlich wie die App. ForeFlight, für die Flugplanung auch noch liefert, ist die App m.E. perfekt. Denn das Jeppesen Kartenmaterial ist der unübertroffene Industriestandard … weltweit!

saemtliche funktionen wurden rudimentaer umgesetzt, jedoch fehlt es im detail. man moechte meinen: hauptsache es gibt was. das potential waere riesig. jeppesen hat mit ihrer windows affinitaet einiges verschlafen und hinkt der technologie hinterher. fazit: im ansatz richtig, im detail lieblos und benutzerfremd

Don’t download IOS14 jeppesen crashes routinely! Tried reinstalling and still crashes. Please fix ASAP as I have no charts.

Dear Jepp, your product is top level priced, but seems to get little development. Seriously considering non-renewal next expiration date. Sure your charts are better than govt charts but the app really could benefit from AMM and turbulence/ weather overlays like the airlines get with FD Pro.

I love Jeppesen. I love the story behind it...if you haven’t read “Jepp” do so....it’s a great very short read. As is the story of Flight Safety. As a pilot, the mark of a an excellent company that sacrifices zero safety, is the one that furnishes each and every one of their pilots with their own subscription of Jeppesen. This allows them to begin the preparation even before they get to the airplane. And keep up with changes to frequented airports. I have to preface the next by saying I would never fly without Jeppesen charts....ever. My wish list. 1.)More “saved flights”. A minimum of 20 saved flights. Preferably 30, and a method of placing them in our own order. 2.) Allow certain symbols to be selected on the 10-9, 10-9a, Departure Diagram, Arrival Diagram. Preferably red, so that you can add outages and closures to your briefings. I can list a few more...but I’m sure the first two will be difficult enough to program. I’ll close by thanking Elry for his endless commitment to precision measurement and data collection. A true pioneer of aviation. 10 bucks says half the flights he did measuring his first charts were in a Boeing Stearman.....Good match.

The app works fine, smooth. The only thing is that they haven’t updated the app to add features like the most wanted in app subscription purchases and invert flight plan. Hope they do it soon

Used to be able to view them as a pdf which was great. Now, it is almost impossible to find what you are looking for using the pubs button. Bring back the pdf option.
