Why did JPay stop working in Russia?

This app and the entire JPay system is an example of corporate exploitation at its worst. It targets incarcerated people and their families, who are low-income and desperate to stay connected. Every feature is riddled with hidden fees and technical issues. Messages get delayed or lost. Video visits drop constantly. Customer service is almost nonexistent. And JPay has a monopoly in many prison systems, meaning we don’t have a choice. Worse, JPay promotes groups like CURE as “advocates” without disclosing their financial ties or conflicts of interest. They pretend to care about families and rehabilitation while draining every penny through inflated charges for emails, video calls, songs, and money transfers all with no transparency or accountability. This isn’t just a bad app. It’s a digital prison inside a physical one. It turns human connection into a business model. The injustice is systemic, and this app is just the surface. This app is useless. Customer support doesn’t even navigate you in the right direction, there is no real human being answering the phone to guide you, just phone robots to rely on to help the issue. -.10/10 would not recommend.

The app is malfunctioning it doesn’t let you login it at all you can’t even input any info it’s sends error message to tell you to call but you can’t even get anything done on the phone call because it won’t recognize your number? Error message SF002
