Kamado Joe

Using it in Europe for my Konnected Joe, Nice app and controls BBQ fine but not Celsius proof. Gives a way too early notification that the target temperature of the probe or BBQ is met! I think this has something to do with the Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion. Also the notification calls my Joe a smoker….. 5°C too early message that the probe temperature is met…. Also when not connected to the Joe, the Session Graphs are in Fahrenheit.

When you love in a country where the temperature is set in Celcius C you need to set it via the app every time you use the Kamado. Is also does not let you set the temperature per one degree. For such a product this is not ok.

Don’t trust this company. Do not buy their products! You will end up with an unsupported, non-functioning device. Their response: sorry if it doesn’t live up to your expectations. Never seen such a lousy response!

Not sure if I trust this with the new Connect. They suddenly abandoned all iKamand users, with a device that did almost the same. That device is still sold, most likely in discount, and will not work as KJ pulled the plug from their server. Will this also happen with this app when it dies not suit them anymore?

The app keeps telling me that there is an update but a white screen pops up over everything so I can’t update or control the grill. Please fix asap!

App syncs and connects to grill easily. Session plots are nice. It would be nice if it had more features like the Thermoworks products. It would be nice to be able to rename sessions to remind me of my cook instead of just a date. It would also be nice to customize the probe names if I was cooking different meats. For probes, the temps for smoked items like brisket should include a 205F temp target since that’s what bbq is all about. Also need to be able to delete sessions too.

Easy to use on the Konnected Joe. Makes grilling super easy. I like how I can set my temperature on the app and the grill does all the work. Also the session graphing is super cool - you can see cooking history with times/temps. Good job KJ!

I paid $250 for a temperature controller, iKammand, that Kamaro Joe just bricked, dropping all support for without notice or compensation. It’s useless now. The old app is gone and this app does not support my device. You have been warned. Update: look at their response. Man, when I bought Kamado Joe it was a company that provided a premium product with premium support. Look at them now. Masterbuilt mass market, MBA driven garbage with a canned response written by a bot that's completely irrelevant to the above review. I had a Gravity grill from Masterbuilt as well and that piece of junk fell apart after one move. I threw it out. Just be warned, don't listen to the people who fall for the marketing. Those suckers will throw money at anything and that's who they target. This is not Kamado Joe anymore, this is just a brand of Masterbuilt. Get the Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe is dead, they sold out.
