Kamado Joe

Kamado Joe stopped all support for the iKamand, they will do the same for other electronics reliant products which are poorly conceived! Avoid at all costs.

The app keeps telling me that there is an update but a white screen pops up over everything so I can’t update or control the grill. Please fix asap!

App syncs and connects to grill easily. Session plots are nice. It would be nice if it had more features like the Thermoworks products. It would be nice to be able to rename sessions to remind me of my cook instead of just a date. It would also be nice to customize the probe names if I was cooking different meats. For probes, the temps for smoked items like brisket should include a 205F temp target since that’s what bbq is all about. Also need to be able to delete sessions too.

Easy to use on the Konnected Joe. Makes grilling super easy. I like how I can set my temperature on the app and the grill does all the work. Also the session graphing is super cool - you can see cooking history with times/temps. Good job KJ!

I paid $250 for a temperature controller, iKammand, that Kamaro Joe just bricked, dropping all support for without notice or compensation. It’s useless now. The old app is gone and this app does not support my device. You have been warned. Update: look at their response. Man, when I bought Kamado Joe it was a company that provided a premium product with premium support. Look at them now. Masterbuilt mass market, MBA driven garbage with a canned response written by a bot that's completely irrelevant to the above review. I had a Gravity grill from Masterbuilt as well and that piece of junk fell apart after one move. I threw it out. Just be warned, don't listen to the people who fall for the marketing. Those suckers will throw money at anything and that's who they target. This is not Kamado Joe anymore, this is just a brand of Masterbuilt. Get the Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe is dead, they sold out.

The app does what you need. Allows you to see what’s going on and adjust temps easily. Kamado warns you of a delay in temp, but if you’re grill is close to the house (me 40 feet) then you shouldn’t see much of a delay. Pay close attention to accessories on the grill screen so you don’t miss temperature ramping. I missed the notice when inserting a DoJoe and waited forever for my temp to come up as the grill assumed I had the lid open. Love the grill and App, great work Kamado Joe!!! Ignore the key sayers out there! This thing is sweet!!!

This app with Konnected Joe always fails silently, only way to get it back to working is completely restarting the grill and it works for a bit and fails again without any error or message. You would think they had the issues sorted by now.

Given that the $250 device cannot even connect via Bluetooth with a simple app, this product has been intentionally rendered 100% useless by its own company without any notice or solution to compensate for the loss. This clearly shows that the company does not care for its consumers. I own the now-useless iKamand and will tell everyone of this company's underhanded business practice. I want my $250 back... as does everyone else.

Agent warranty taking forever to reply

I have great Wi-Fi throughout the entire house including outside. The app always disconnects from the Konnect, never connects with any ease - I always need to reconnect. I’ve had Green Eggs for the past decade, their app is much more stable and reliable. What’s wrong - the grill, the app or what? I would love to use it like my Green Egg, everything in my house works flawless excluding this app.
