Kogan Smarterhome app will not connect totrail camera , modem router checked operating correctly, Vodafone advise app is faulty, great product but menu is very confusing, not recommended

The robotic smart vacuum is ok but requires ALOT of micro-managing, eg, needs frequent assistance manually clearing the onboard dust box (doesn’t like crumbs), struggles to find home base then gives up searching. Then the app requires sooo much micro-managing. Every time I open the app we seem to have new extensions to the house according to the app map, doesn’t get smarter with each clean, the pattern is chaotic at best, room select doesn’t work (select vacuum bedrooms it mops the corridor), set up timed vacuums and it doesn’t do them. I make sure before each vacuum the entire house has nothing on the floor except permanent furniture, I even pick up and stack kids furniture. And it’s not a wifi issue as the whole house FULL bars of wifi connectivity.

ALL OTHER LIGHT BARS WORK. MOON LAMP DISCONNECTS FROM KOGAN APP. MOON LAMP DOES NOT SHOW UP WHEN BLINKING. MOON LAMP SHOULD BE IMPRISONED FOR WAR CRIMES.

Stupid app always comes with new bugs. Horrible App

As of the latest update I never receive notifications from alerts on my camera, even when someone rings my front doorbell my phone doesn’t ring. So what is the point…please fix

The App won’t save your input settings. Don’t waste your time with Kogan devices

Cannot change the icon for power switches. It crashes the app after selecting a new photo. This occurred on the last update, and was not fixed with the latest one…

Works great when viewing cameras if phone connected to wifi, but once on cellular / mobile it says cannot find encrypted channel

We have two nice affordable Kogan LX16 Robot Vacuums - one for upstairs and one for downstairs. They easily mapped the house, the app was somewhat logical for naming rooms and setting them up, the vacuum cleaners auto-detect stairs and don't fall, and you can set areas to mop, vac, the intensity of the vacuum etc. BUT... ISSUE 1: It's not easy to set an area to avoid entirely, unless your home is extremely square and your map is oriented exactly straight, with furniture at 90 degree angles. We have a home with some angles of like 30 degrees, and our vac keeps getting stuck under the couch. The couch area is mapped, I can even split the room so the couch is "a room of it's own" and I can set a custom setting to vac that area twice, but I can't set it to vac 0 times. I also can't use the forbidden edit tool as that makes a box, and with the couch technically being on an angle (because the whole room is on an angle), I would have to make it avoid like 1m all around the couch to fit it. You can't rotate the map or forbidden edit box to avoid this. It'd also be swell if you could share a device with apple home, while I'm able to create scenes to run each vac I find without attributing them to a zone in apple home it's hit and miss if it actually will start when I say "hey siri turn on the downstairs vacuum cleaner" (even when naming it "downstairs vacuum cleaner" in the kogan app). My smart switches from Meross even allow you to copy the details across to apple home and install the appliance directly there, so it shouldn't be something reserved only for the more expensive models.

I recently got a robot vac and i’m a bit disappointed with the mapping editing function of the app but hopefully this can be fixed in a later update. We have mirrors and windows and when mapping a room I often end up with extra imaginary rooms on the map which don’t exists. I have to add many fake walls with the app to restrict where the robot tries to go. I’d prefer to have a way through the app to edit out those imaginary rooms more easily.
