Invaluable if you are learning Japanese. Duolingo or Memrise in isolation will not teach you Japanese effectively, however this app and Kanji Garden will enable you to learn Kanji and therefore read and write Japanese. Kanji Garden is essential for grammar, not taught in Duolingo, which teaches repetitively not structurally and without which you will struggle. Great app, you have to learn Japanese like a Japanese person would!

literally cannot believe such an app is free, even by the (extremely truthful and accurate) introduction you can tell that this app is different from the others; i take a liking in the fact it takes its perceptive from a japanese persons POV instead of a foreigner, that’s a big must for such a difficult language. The way that everything is layed out makes it easier for people like me who despise reading to actually want to read more! unlike going to fetch a textbook, i hate doing that (¬_¬) I would always get put off by people actually proper studying the language with physical books and stuff cuz hell i’m not really about that whole lifestyle considering i also have schoolwork to do so this is a lot more efficient. For an app in such early stages, this really is a gem. i’ll be reading this for a lot of time to come so i’ll see how it turns out in the long run! :)

i can tell this app will be very useful just from the introduction

I genuinely can’t believe such detailed app is free. Every explanation has so much thought and love put in it that it feels wrong to learn so well for free. Is a no brainier, just get it.

App is very useful, well thought-out and is excellent for explaining tricky concepts. Obviously a new app so there are some errors! So for I have only noticed that some of the kanji (kanji section in the writing system) doesn’t have either hiragana phonetics or a translation on it and also a spelling error in ‘state of being’ - being is spelt beign. I hope this is helpful - big fan of both japanese learning apps 😊

Love the info and simple layout of the app, but I noticed that the lesson content goes blank when the app is suspended for a bit of time and you have to scroll back to where you were.

This is a fantastic app to learn Japanese grammar systematically. It boosts my Japanese learning significantly in a short time due to better understanding of the grammar. Great job!
