Awesome for hackers, engineers and researchers
A very powerful application for knowledge management and personal journaling. It offers quite good plugins, especially for Anki integration, navigation, and formulas. This makes the app one of the most powerful tools for studying complex domains of knowledge and research work. However, it has several weak points: - an ugly and almost unreadable query language, along with an undebuggable query engine; - many UI bugs; - lack of conflict resolution during sync procedures and issues with the database as an entity; - very slow mobile apps when handling 500+ pages; - infrequent releases. What would be good to have to avoid switching to other apps: - a simple markdown editor or something that can be used for writing documents and posts; - SQL queries or something similarly simple, instead of the overly complicated Datalog; - custom types for tables, like user lists in Notion or Airtable; - internal scripts and templates, similar to Jinja. Despite its issues, I love it. 5/5.
