Welcome to the International English edition Magnificat App, which contains readings, texts and calendar appropriate for English-speaking countries using the Jerusalem Bible Lectionary*.

It is presented a day-by-day format including:
MASS - daily Mass prayers and Scripture readings
PRAYERS - daily prayers for morning, evening, and night inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours
MEDITATIONS - spiritual reflections for each day
ESSAYS - on the lives of the saints from yesterday and today

Reminders, audio hymns, and other features have been added for your prayer life.

Subscribers to the paper edition have complimentary access (need registration for access). Otherwise, it is free from the day you install the App until the end of the month; then you can subscribe online or buy each month through the App store. Bugs. It’s a shame

Such a good app. When it’s working... unfortunately, every month when the new content “downloads” it gives me so much trouble to load, I end up halfway through the month and it either doesn’t download or the pages are all blank :( such a shame, it’s a great way to build a habit of prayer.

Keeps crashing

The app has been crashing a lot lately. Can the developers please do something about this?

Unreliable App

Out of sync with Aust. Different version if bible used. Responses are different. I have to delete app and reinstal each month as it will mot download the new months content. Real clunky, such a shame as its neat lil app. .

Very disappointed that this has become a paid subscription app.

Good app ..... When it works

This is a nice looking app and very good when it works. Unfortunately I haven't been able to open the March 2014 edition on my phone. I reported the problem to the developers but they didn't have the courtesy to even reply to my email. I'll stick with Universalis - a much much better app for the Liturgy of the Hours - and it works every day without fail. Perhaps Magnificat should work on making an app that works rather than an app that looks good but doesn't actually work. So I give this one star only and won't be buying any more editions.

Excellent resource

Magnificat is a very useful little resource. It contains all necessary liturgical things for prayers, mass and meditation.

Magnificat App

Magnificat is simply a wonderful daily prayer book that follows the Church calendar. It includes relevant and stimulating commentary on many current and traditional issues.
