Metrownome: A Rowing Metronome

Really useful app for a beginner like me. A companion app for Apple watch would be great!

The stick figure not only helped me keep my pace, but helped me keep my proper form, even when tired.

Provides focus

The app does what it claims and is decent for keeping SR. However, I use this on an erg and would love the ability to let it play in the background after leaving the app

There are tons of apps that “teach” you how to row, but this is the simplest, easiest and best way I’ve found to focus only on SPM. The stick figure is a good guide but the beeps make it super easy to time the drive correctly which allows you to focus more on breathing and technique while you keep a consistent pace. Oh, and it’s free.

Simple and to the point. When rowing you need to focus on two things: shape and rhythm. The little stick person in the app animation just guides you to do that efficiently and without charging a subscription. Wishlist: allow to program changes in stokes per minute to do sprints/varied workouts.
