I am unable to verify my account since Norton did not call or send me the SMS for verification code. I alternated between the two forms of verification and now it said I tried too many times and to “try later” but after a much later time, I am still unable to get this to work. Super disappointed.
My 12yo is able to bypass all Norton controls by searching online roblox or Steam games despite me blocking gaming categories and the apps. I don’t even get notified. The iOS app keeps kicking me out saying my session is expired when I try to update houserule settings. No one from customer service nor any search online is able to explain nor fix this problem. I have to give a very poor rating because of these issues. Shame as I love Norton products.
You set rules and it keep resets back. And not apply. If kids deactivate chrome extension easily they can skip tracing. I try to reach help desk by email, no one reply. Non recommended app. Waste of money & time.
Norton Family is not that great compared to McAfee. It does little to control Apps, my child seems to get by all the controls. Norton is a touch weaker in controlling Windows and iOS devices. At times it is too rigid and lacking what I see on McAfee and Apple Screentime. McAfee is just a touch better at 3.5 stars controlling a mixture of Windows and partially iOS devices. Apple Screen time is great for controlling iOS and nothing else.
I work in IT working with managed devices so I know what’s possible, and Norton has implemented nothing in terms of control in this app. When the time limit expires, all apps are deleted from the device. When the the allow time starts, the apps are rewarded to the Home Screen in alphabetical order and without any folder organization. This was very upsetting to the child. Worse though is that there is no way to whitelist an app to allow it to run after time expires. So apps used for sleep, sleep tracking, glucose monitoring, etc. are totally gone with no way to allow their use.

I can safely write this review because I’m protected by Norton Life lock - After being hacked previously- I can’t stress enough how Grateful I’m for KeepingMy Family and I Safe!!
I spent 2-3 hours to install this program on my son’s computer and connected to the my mobile phone app. When my son (14 yo) found out what was going on he needed only 30 seconds to delete it from his computer. I didn’t find any protection from uninstalling (like for example Google Family has), so I refunded my money back. On my opinion this program needs improvement.
I hate this app. I got it to have parent supervision on my child’s computer and it’s constantly glitching out and not working. Feature such as her asking for more time has an “error” and times out. Very frustrating and a waste of money.
My child easily uses his device even when locked, only by using the “popup view” option in Galaxy Tablet!
