Disappointed Long-Time User: Lost Access After Switching Phones
I have been a loyal user of the Oxford Dictionary app for years. I paid for the premium version quite some time ago, and it was my go-to dictionary for its comprehensive definitions, historical context, and user-friendly interface. However, my experience took a turn for the worse recently.
After upgrading to a new iPhone, I was shocked to find that I could no longer access the app’s premium features, despite using the same Apple ID I used to purchase the app. Instead, I was prompted to subscribe to a new plan. This is frustrating, especially since I already paid for lifetime access years ago.
I understand that apps evolve, and subscription models are becoming more common, but it feels unfair to loyal customers who supported the app early on. There should at least be an option to restore purchases for users who previously bought the app outright.
Please consider addressing this issue for long-time users who have already paid for the app. It’s disheartening to see a great product shift to a subscription-only model without honoring past purchases.
Sad sad situation
The app is unresponsive. It's unfortunate that such great content is being rendered completely inaccessible. You keep hoping that eventually someone is gonna put the cattle on but then you recall how difficult it has always been to obtain a paper copy as well and you stand petrified facing such a crime like treason that no one else is calling out but you.

I purchased this app a while back but it’s no longer available.
Brilliant app which needs bug fixing!
I have been using this app for a while now and have found it to be quite resourceful and user-friendly! However, it keeps crashing intermittently which results in loss of favourited words which is extremely disappointing. It needs some bugs to be fixed in the system.

I have been using this OALD app since long and purchased through Apple Store subscription. Well tragedy is after auto-update my subscription is gone and I am no longer able to access full dictionary What a bummer!

Bad dictionary
I did pay around $45 for my iPhone; I did pay about $45 for my desktop computer. I did pay three times for upgrading the app, each $17.
Then Oxford cancelled supporting iPhone and offered a few years free of charge until 2024.
Today Oxford cancelled my subscription.
What a big shame for Oxford! I’m going to use the Longman dictionary instead.
Crash all the time
I love this app so much and have been using it very frequently during my work and study. It has a lot of excellent features. But only one thing has been upsetting me recently. The app crashes very often. I wondered whether other users had such issue as well. Can you please fix this? Thank you!

I bought an oald and u give me a code to use premium in a year
Then i signed up
But now i can’t sign in on My ipad
What happened!?
They had to switch to subscription model
While the app is very good and useful in itself, it is so disappointing that there is now a subscription model instead of one time purchase. This affects Apple’s Family Sharing as in-app purchases do not qualify for this feature. Truly disappointing and annoying.
