Packt Reader

Not a reader at all. Just shows text and books, that’s it. Please do not call it reader anymore.

Unusable. Crash after crash. No progress sync. No text resize. It's a shame and lack of respect to your subscribers.

Handy reader when I need to read a Packt book on my iPhone. A few issues - 1) in dark mode picture with background is invisible; 2) left most part of some pictures are cut off in iPhone app. They show correctly in downloaded PDF.

Great technical books but this app is too simple, through the web is much better.

I sign in to packt by logging in with my google account…there isn’t an option for that on the app(at least that I’ve seen) Need to add an option to login via google

I never write reviews but this app is just too bad not to leave one. When I try to flip the pages it does not go to the next page, it seems to skip to the next section. This makes it impossible to read.

The user experience of the App is very bad. It does not support offline, even if it says it does. Books/reading gets broken as soon as you are offline. After contacting Packt, they mentioned that they don’t have plans for updates. Seriously!

Reading on app works. If you play a video and click table of contents to select a different chapter/video, the application will crash. You can only select next video and watch the chapters in order. Packt, please fix this.

It’s pathetic that something as basic as single sign on isn’t available

A beta app at best. Gets the job done but with a few bugs and a lot of missing features. I will still continue to use and I hope they invest some money into it
