Parent Sense: Daily Baby Care

Heard about this app through a podcast and was really looking forward to it. My baby is 4 months and I put in the correct birthdate, even had me confirm her age before proceeding. But then now it just has her at 0 weeks and It doesn’t look like I can change it.

First, I don’t mean to purchase it but the short trial didn’t work and it somehow did purchase. Then, my LO’s schedule is wildly different from the suggested schedule. Every time I try to enter a ‘tracked’ event, I click save and it just disappears. I try to enter his actual wake up and save it - and it defaults to the suggested wake up. There is nothing helpful about any of this is the FAQ’s. Just another shiny object which provides basic info but nothing actually useful.

Though the app looks “high tech” it is actually very basic in its offering. While the ability to see trends over a period is nice it’s not detailed and doesn’t provide more insight. The app regularly crashes and might not record a feeding or sleep period, this affects the accuracy of the trends. Feeds can’t be paused to allow for diaper change… there is no option to track a breast switch for a feed and to time each side individually. Other apps offer the same data tracking but with more convenience.

Keeping up with all the naps and feeding is hard enough but with this nifty app you don’t have to remember the schedule. It helps you keep track! Love it.

Is this app just for newborns? My son was born in July 2019 and when I try to input his birthdate at the beginning of the app it won’t let me. Don’t know if it’s a glitch or if this app is geared towards younger babies. Was looking forward to using it but unfortunately can’t get past the birthdate part.

I had problems getting my daughter to sleep through the night even though I was a second time mom. Just when you think you know what you doing, child number 2 is totally opposite to your first! This app was a great tool that consolidate all my child’s information into 1 app! I found it most helpful!!

Used the app with my first baby but can’t acces the app now even though my subscription is valid until November. Already uninstalled and re-installed the app and it’s still not working

Having read the Baby sense book during pregnancy and now using the App after the birth of our daughter makes life so much easier. Being sleep deprived and not having the capacity to plan or keep track of feedings and sleep, the App takes care of that for you. The weekly videos and articles are so informative and right on point of what we are dealing with. Love the suggestions for stimulation and activities to bond with our little one. The App is user friendly and just a pleasure to use. Must have!

UPDATE: my issue was resolved within less than 24 hours by such a friendly consultant. She was super helpful and we are able to enjoy the app to its fullest again. Hi, Please can you review the app, the “Today’s Activity” under Play Sense has not been working for the past 3 weeks. Just other notes or recommendations as a daily user if the app. Adding descriptions to the milestones? Will really help a parent to be certain a milestone has been reached. You second guess yourself sometimes. Would you consider adding a log for allergic foods introduced so we can better track when to introduce the next one? Thank you so much, we literally use this app every day for tracking our lil ones sleep, feed and activities. It helps us so much as first time parents.

The app keeps kicking me out and freezing, despite any other issues and my software being up to date. Now it won’t let me login at all even though I’ve deleted it and downloaded it again.
