A client paid me HKD 20,280 (USD 2,600) for a coaching job. I was paid HKD 19,486 (USD 2,498), a 4% cut. The money was not released to me until I had uploaded 1. my ID card, 2. the contract, 3. the receipt, and 4. the invoice for this job. It was deemed “unusual activity”. I want to transfer the same HKD 19,486 to my bank. PayPal will only send me USD. The exchange rate is another 4% off (1 USD costs 8.12 HKD according to PayPal. It doesn’t, it costs 7.8 HKD). I will, in the end, receive USD 2,398.73 from the USD 2,600 I billed. That’s an 8.4% cut! Thanks but no thanks PayPal, I won’t be using you again.

This company doesn’t care about its customers. Once a leader 20 years ago, it’s now irrelevant and lagging behind any small startup

Customer support is non existent. If account is not verified it will straight up not give you the money that people send to you and since customer support is non existent it will be impossible to verify your account. I’d be surprised if someone actually responded to this review because that would mean they actually have people working in customer support unless it’s just a bot. I would avoid pay pal like the plague if I were you. Literally use any other payment service.

If I could give negative stars I would. Not small business friendly and I’m pretty sure they’ve stolen funds from me. I had two different orders show they were transferred to my bank account and no such deposit has ever showed up. My bank account was fully verified too. When I submitted a ticket to PayPal for support, they basically told me it’s not their fault and it’s my banks fault. Absolute lies. They need to be shutdown for robbing people. Reporting them to BBB.
