Customer support is non existent. If account is not verified it will straight up not give you the money that people send to you and since customer support is non existent it will be impossible to verify your account. I’d be surprised if someone actually responded to this review because that would mean they actually have people working in customer support unless it’s just a bot. I would avoid pay pal like the plague if I were you. Literally use any other payment service.

If I could give negative stars I would. Not small business friendly and I’m pretty sure they’ve stolen funds from me. I had two different orders show they were transferred to my bank account and no such deposit has ever showed up. My bank account was fully verified too. When I submitted a ticket to PayPal for support, they basically told me it’s not their fault and it’s my banks fault. Absolute lies. They need to be shutdown for robbing people. Reporting them to BBB.

I understand verification is necessary, but like 99% of people using this app just need it to transfer money to another of their main accounts because the people they’re getting their money from or too don’t have the same bank software/app as them..  Why am I being TAXED? I’m not trying to be taxed TWICE a year ?? 😭 There’s literally no digital banking apps that ask for ur SSN so why is this app asking for that. Nobody should trust technology enough to put their SSN in ?? It’s like I’m being held at gunpoint… put ur SSN in or else we’ll tax you 24% of ur earnings!! Seriously is there not another way ?? This app is a little too strict, and it’s unnecessary because it’s the only digital banking app that does it while the others are doing just fine ..

As an app created by a multi billion dollar entity this app is a ridiculous example of low effort - does not display PayPal credit balance or even offer any access to it. Worst of it there seems to be a flaw I would consider major - with Face ID enabled it is impossible to securely logout of this app since it gets caught in a loop of automatically logging in with your face as soon as logout is tapped. USELESS

UPDATED 11/5/24. Still the same problem! Your current bug fixes didn’t correct it. The keypad shows very faintly, making it impossible to log in with a PIN. It was fine before the last update. Very annoying.

This app used to work, but starting early October 2024, it stopped working. I have called customer support to no avail. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I have tried removing 2Fa. I have tried revoking all known devices. I have tried turning passkeys off. I have tried disabling Touch ID. Whenever I try to log in, I get stuck in this loop where I am asked for my password, authentication token, fingerprint, text message is sent next… and then I start all over again. Sometimes I can get in after all this BS… but then the app is frozen on the Home Screen when I do that. Support said they would open a ticket but no response.

This app makes me use an Authenticator to sign in EVERY TIME on my phone. Huge annoying waste of time. And yes, I have Face ID turned on - which it doesn’t even use. There is no setting to only use Face ID. Fix this please!

Seems like the app was recently updated and I can no longer see my PayPal Business Debit card in the app. I used the security features like locking the card and seeing the card info directly from the app, and all of a sudden it’s gone from the app. Please bring back the ability to see the business debit card in the app. 

The app has been extremely disappointing to use with the previous issue of it constantly crashing when I tried doing anything with an invoice. 

What’s the point of having an app if the main functions don’t work, crash and just don’t show up as an option and I have to go to the website.
