Pestle: Recipe Manager

The app works great! Makes your life much easier. Only remark is not being able to scale grocery list. When a dish is for 4 people, and I add it to meal plan, it is too much for 2 people. I cannot change the amount what will be on the shopping list. This would be great since scaling is already possible in the app.

I love this app. I plan my meals with it and also use it as my shopping list. I am also very happy that there was an option for lifetime subscription, as i strongly dislike monthly subscription models. My ideas for improvements are: - sometimes the app crashes - sometimes when you edit the order of the instruction steps, it jumps back into a different order after saving it - a widget as an overview for your weekly meal plan - a way of showing that you have a specific ingredient already in your pantry when you open a recipe; f.e. making it show up gray or green or sth (so you can tell what you have to buy, or what you can immediately cook) - a way of putting a number of how many (for example onions) you have in your pantry, which you can then edit easily to keep track; it would also be great if it could calculate how many more you’d have to buy (f.e. 2 Onions in Pantry, but 3 needed for the Recipe, so only 1 Onions shows up in your Shopping list) All in all, it’s a great app, that i highly recommend to anyone who’s interested in cooking. It especially helps you with not always cooking the same things, but try new great recipes! My boyfriend agrees!

De app is een geweldig idee dat zeer matig is uitgevoerd en flink wat technische mankementjes heeft, zoals het crashen van de app als je handmatig een ingrediënt wilt toevoegen met het groene plusje. Ook grijpt hij veel van de recepten online helemaal niet. De app zelf ziet er vrij matig uit. De ingrediënten zijn ook niet te knippen/plakken maar moeten stuk voor stuk handmatig ingetypt worden. Je kunt ook niet aangeven of je op alfabet/datum wilt zoeken en de categorieën zijn niet aan te passen en laten soms html zien. De categorieën zijn ook niet naar eigen smaak aan te passen of te hernoemen. Toevoeging: enorm teleurgesteld. Lang bezig geweest honderden recepten te ordenen in folders, maar na het switchen naar een nieuwe gsm waren alle folders gewoon weg.

When I saw the subscription (even if it’s discounted) this will be a no-go for me. Even when the app is good. The lifetime option is too expensive for a recipe app. I don’t mind to pay for a app, as I know the developer need money for a living as well. But nowadays developers are gone crazy with high (subscription) prices. Just bring a app for a one time payment and let users have a discounted price for every major version update.

this app really cuts the cake (and all the nonsense you find on recipe websites) just the method and ingredients , no sweat!

I have been searching for a good recipe app saver in the chance that tik tok is banned in the US in a few weeks. I quickly found that for this app and similar, the key to whether or not the app will be able to load the video is dependent on in the recipe and directions are listed in the caption of the video! That took me longer than I’d like to figure out and it would be nice if that were explained in the app or description of the app. Unsure if I will end up paying for this app or not but wanted to mention as I assume I’m not the only one in this predicament right now. I will say, the app is very user friendly and laid out better than others I have tried.

Does not auto-populate TikTok recipes as it claims to do. Every recipe I tried to imported stated “not in system, unable to load”
