Petco: The Pet Parents Partner

It took me 20 minutes to check out my cart. The total kept saying it doesn’t match the amount. Fortunately for me, once I removed the tip it worked without any issue. Definitely not a fun or easy experience.

Slow!!!!

The prices are better online. The pick up discount is nice. The layout of site is easy to use. THE SITE IS ALWAYS SLOW, anytime i click anything it takes 20seconds plus to load...

Everything about this app is great except for the same day delivery. Since Petco partnered with Doordash I have had the worst time with deliveries. Recently I got the wrong food for my pet but already opened it, so instead of returning I got a new food but for same day delivery. It happened to not be same day but the day after, which was fine. What wasn't fine was the fact that the dasher picked up my order but wasn't delivering the food during my selected delivery time. I called Doordash after a couple hours because it wasn't an issue today (but what if I had to be somewhere today??) and told them the dasher hasn't delivered my order even after picking it up hours ago. And by hours I mean 5 hours! The driver's phone number didn't even work! Doordash told me the dasher was finally in my area but my order still wasn't delivered by my delivery time. So I called again, cancelled it, and got a new driver. At this point my order is 6 hours late. The new driver picked up my order and was so close to my place. I checked again and the driver is back at Petco at the time my delivery was supposed to arrive! I cancelled the order again and just had to pick up the order in store on my own. Even though this issue isn't Petco's fault, they decided to partner with a company that doesn't care about delivering your order. If you're ordering I hope it's delivered with USPS so you can avoid my issue. I hope this partnership doesn't last for long because that's ridiculous.

In the middle of creating an Account I was blocked. We have two homes. One at 701 Sparkling Brook Lane, Leander, TX 78641 and one at 2595 Demaris Street, Sparks , NV 89436 Our daughter Carrie Dawn Washington occupies the Leander home. Very frustrating. Please straighten it out. I continued as a guest but want to get the 10% off on my next order. She is currently caring for her two Boston Terriers and fostering a third until my granddaughter can retrieve him. I will be augmenting her dog food to help pay for the dog food for the puppies. Carrie will be doing a curbside pickup of the two 25 lb WholeHearted chicken and rice puppy food. Please make sure there are no hiccups when she picks up the order. I used Apple Pay. Cannot change store in app. All it does is take me to Apple Maps and there is absolutely no way to change the store in app. Please fix this

The app is convenient after it opens BUT it takes minutes (rather than seconds) to load. Usually, I just want to order something quickly when I open it but as soon as I click it, I remember that I might as well find something else to do for a few minutes before it will even load completely. It’s extremely frustrating and the only app that takes this long. All of the other apps I use take seconds - usually less than 2 or 3 seconds. And while I’ve never timed it, my guess is this app takes 2-3 minutes to load and be ready to use.

Very slow and often freezes or asks to “Retry”.

I don’t understand why my cart expires every couple days when I have items in my cart. I should be able to have items in my cart for how every long…like what if I was waiting to get more money so I can purchase those items. Also I get having certain locations only have a certain amount of things but I would love for all locations to have cat apparel and not just on the app/website.

I recently got a kitten and Petco has been so helpful to me. I find everything I need at reasonable or discounted prices. I get lots of tips on how to care for my fur baby and I couldn’t be more grateful, Especially as a first time pet owner. Definitely would recommend.
