This is another stupid one
Have to pay coins to enter each game. If you can’t get past levels, you lose that entrance fee. Run out of coins and say I need 10,000 coins to enter one game; each time I lose, that’s it until I can get more coins. For that I can only play one game a day. I can’t get past a level and it’s taking a day to get enough coins so it’s going to take me forever to get anywhere. Week or so later and still only progressed past two levels. I’ve even paid for coins but it’s costing a fortune to even get passed levels.
A decent timesink, with a frustrating main story mechanic and an inherently unfair core concept
Update: they couldn’t help themselves, could they? Here come the ads after every level. Uninstalled. This isn’t the first solitaire game on the market and it won’t be the last; and while that side of it is fun enough you do need to bear in mind that this style of solitaire presentation - much like Klondike - is inherently random and often results in unsolvable puzzles. You can try it yourself with real cards. Lay them out as they went out in the game and try to find a solution. Many times you can’t. However, bear this in mind - and also the fact that because of it you should not spend any money at all on this game because you’ll be throwing it away - and you’ll find the core gameplay to be fun, if frustrating at times. The game has a few ways of throwing free coins at you which is okay. You’ll often find yourself in a position where you can’t play for an hour though. As for the “story” mode? It’s awful. It’s the same cafe builder “pick one of three decorations” stuff, coupled to a love story couple to a mystery drama that’s ten-a-penny these days. It’s as badly written as you’d expect, the characters are all completely unlikable (except Bean!) and the actual interface for the game is frustratingly laggy and slow. I have so many more tokens than I can be bothered spending because it’s just so unsatisfying to interact with this game mode. Characters have to move to a new location, yammer on about inane nonsense, suddenly go off on tangents (you’ll often be in the middle of a conversation about love or a possible mystery and out of nowhere in the middle of it, someone will pipe up “let’s pick chairs for this room!”), and every tap feels like it just takes an eon to actually do anything.
Came to a halt!
I loved this game, but it has stalled for,the past year or so. It ran out of story, and I found that I amassed over 1000 ‘bulbs’ but had no story to,use them on. It stopped me playing the main game about a year ago, instead diverting me to mini-games that didn’t move the story forward at all. Over several months, there were periodic releases of story updates that used up my bulbs, but they have now stopped (I think the last one was August) and now I’m stuck on a merry-go-round of games that aren’t going anywhere. It’s very frustrating, especially as they have updated the graphics a couple of times - but left the game to rot. It’s as if they don’t expect people to play for long enough to reach that point.
Progresses quickly
Great game and momentum kept going well. Lots of ways to progress and great fun. Love the idea of solitaire makes a change from the match three or merge games.
