Pulse - Breathing & Meditation

It was a great app and I’ve loved to use this. But a subscription method is a bad idea. It would be great if I could buy this app once and use all features. But I hate that you’ve chosen this way. Sorry, but I’m deleting this app

Got this app a long time ago and was happy with it… Didn’t use it for a time and now the app demands my phone number to continue… so goodbye Pulse app.

That’s why I immediately deleted the app!

The idea is nice, and while I suppose it helps, it seems kind of useless without a subscription. The first thing that happened when I started an exercise was an ad. This is understandable and I can live with that. After the ad, I did two or three rounds of breathing in and out, when the app abruptly wrote “sleep well!”, stopped, and gave me a pop up about a Pro subscription. This wasn’t even enough to start feeling sleepy or relaxed. So I thought I’d try again. Again, as soon as I clicked start, an ad popped up, and again, the exercise finished rather quickly. Your only free option is “fall asleep in 60 seconds”. As an insomniac I’m always looking to try new methods and I thought this might be worth a shot. And while I certainly understand and can sympathise with the developer — something’s gotta pay the bills — we live in a world today where there’s a subscription for nearly everything and that’s simply not realistic to pay. I had hoped that without premium subscriptions I could at least get something out of it. The app in itself looks good and user friendly. The music (or ambience?) seems to be a Pro feature as well. The premise of it sounds good to me. I also noticed the tie-in to the Health app, which I also find useful. Overall, I find this has potential. I wish the developer(s) good luck!

This app forces you to put in your number so it can text you BEFORE you can use it! It hangs up & eventually says URLSessionTask failed with error: The request timed out. The support website comes up 404?

Without explanation, requires you to enter your phone number. What this has to do with meditation and what they do with your number is any body’s guess.

I was excited to use the app for the first time but when I opened the app for the first time right away it ask for my cell phone number! I consider my person info sacred and avoid giving it out at all cost. Especially my contact info that they are liking to sell especially when it doesn’t give privacy terms and conditions. Sounds like HELLO ROBO CALLS!
