RealSelf: Treatments & Reviews

This app is horrible to use. No way to control what is in your feed. Search results by procedure type are not in chronological order (no option to sort by new) - mostly shows outdated posts, some as old as 2007 which is useless. Search for provider tool returns zero results, obviously doesn’t function correctly for Australia. Uploading pictures is a nightmare, can’t control how they are cropped, can’t go back to preview them after uploading. Posted a question for doctors to get a pop up saying my post will be uploaded within two days, like it really takes that long??! Also no way to view what I posted. This platform is garbage.

RealSelf deletes reviews from patients who have had serious medical complications following botched surgeries. Reviews from patients who rate their Doctors highly stay on the site. New users only see good reviews and so they book surgeries only to suffer serious medical complications and the cycle repeats. RealSelf makes money in the process.

I follow some specific treatments on my feed so therefore have no idea why I constantly have to scroll through those which I do not follow. This is very frustrating.

I wish they would show how many views to a post . Keep up the great work

What an amazing App for helping others who decide to have Cosmetic Surgery!

This app used to be great. Today I’ve tried to update a review and after when you click on your existing review and then on the little pencil icon to update, all it allows you to change is the provider name, the price and whether it was worth it or not worth it. I googled how to update and it gives you directions to hit some grey edit button that doesn’t even exist. Then I try to add photos and photos come up that were saved to my phone 3 years ago? I’ve updated the app and everything but Real Self no longer works. Shame.

I have been been having my Botox and Raddiesse fillers from Dr Francesco Barbagello Melbourne Australia. After 10 years my face looks the same if not better Highly recommend these treatments and always remember it's the skill of the injector not the cost or product

Would love to see improved location functions Would love to see improvements around general navigation, pics, filters etc.

I love this app and wished I found out about this earlier! I love that everyone can just go in and share their personal experiences about what surgery they’ve had and also get feedback from others. I can relate to so many of the women in this app and its so helpful! The only thing I hate about it is that if you write a review on your own profile you can’t go in to edit it if there is a typo. That needs to change! Other than that this app is great.

I love this app so much but I did the recent update and now it won’t load at all 😣
