Robinhood: Investing for All

Robinhood continues to do unethical things such as closing contracts before the expiration date. Lending information about where you put your stop loss in order to stop out your profits. They have never once offer a reimbursement for the unethical or unjustified actions that they take in order for the consumer to lose. While trading with Robinhood, I’ve had numerous issues this include, but not limited to them not honoring the stop loss or market stop instead they will let it slip past and tell you’re down significantly, when trying to place a order, they will hit you with a question such as are you sure you want to place this order within that timeframe? It’s harder to get in the price that you want because you are trying to get back to the page in order to place the order, they close your contract early, preventing you from being able to acquire profits or break even. When I asked about it, the response has been we are able to close any contract at any time for any reason. This app is not built for the consumer but a tool for the Rich to see where the consumers money lies in order to short them. They will screw you trade against you and steal your money

I’ve been going through the run around with them since July 2nd 2024. It is now August 21st and they are of no help. All I wanted to do was change my last name to my new legal name and my phone number and they still can’t help me with this. Mind you I can’t even create a new account because my social security number hasn’t changed and you can only have one account. I have done everything they have asked me to do and they’re still no able to help me. I have sent photos and screen recordings to show proof along with numerous emails and still no help. Filled out a name change form even sent them court papers and still no help. Why is this an issue to change my last name and phone number? They keep telling me that I can change this simply by going to the account icon. And for the millionth time I have told them I can’t even get to verifying myself to even get there. Still no help. Took a photo of my ID in a well lit area and made sure the photos were not blurry, submitted it and still didn’t verify. I keep telling them maybe it is not verifying because my last name is different. I can’t verify through text because no longer have that phone number. Still no help. What I am noticing is they don’t seem to be reading the customer issues thoroughly. My emails in the beginning were short and sweet and now it’s lengthy because I’m constantly dumbing it down after someone there seemed to dumb it down for me on clicking on the account icon that never appears. And I’m going into great detail repeating myself because the Support Team doesn’t seem to understand my request. It’s frustrating because I’ve worked in Customer Service before and I never did this to my customers. It blows my mind how a simple name change and phone number change is an issue for them.

I’ve had money sitting in an account for a long time. The app is not intuitive at all! It’s taken me 10 minutes to figure out how to sell my stock.

Last update: Avoid this app. Go with E*trade or Ally. In order to close my account, because I could not get the system to recognize my SS card, I had only kind choice to sell all my stock , lose the money I was making and then transfer it to my bank and then pay them extra fees. Avoid this app at all costs.Nobody cares here at all. Updated: Don’t use this app for your money or you will be sorry. Not only have I had trouble using it because of its issues with card reading, but I have had to wait over 2hours to try and transfer my stock, only to have them tell me it would all be good and then it was not. I could not transfer because of the fact that they are holding more money than they should. Not only that. I will now have to sell my stock and repurchase it. Orig Review: Don’t go here at all. I have tried multiple times to fix your issues with getting my id and SSCard. Your systems are horrid and I am taking my trading elsewhere. Your phone wait times are horrid as well. Leaving.
