One syllable pronunciation failing
On one syllable words, pronunciation is failing all the time.
Doesn’t connect to wireless headphones
Japanese language section refuses to play through air pods when all other apps do it fine. Strange bug that renders audio lessons unusable in a public workspace.
BROKEN AUDIO
So yeah. I’m doing the free trial and the play this conversation section doesn’t work?! Kinda feel like I’m getting ripped off. I was considering possibly getting the entire course for Russian, but how if my trial mode doesn’t function completely. What will u do to fix this? I only have 5 days left and I want to try this aspect. Does that mean when I pay for the course there’s going to be broken aspects as well? Because that would be pretty bad! Fix your application please. It’s a little disappointing. I am really enjoying it so far but I will not pay for anything until I see you actually fix this and maybe even respond to this review. I’m new to your company’s website/app. It looks promising but it needs work. FIX NOW! I have seen lots of others saying as well audio doesn’t work, and it’s still not fixed…maybe this isn’t the app for me? 😢
very stable
I have had this for over 10 years.. I then got very sick and did not use it for 4 years. My subscription was honoured and everything works well. This is not an EASY course for beginners like some courses, but. if you are willing to go through the exercises at the end, one learns a lot. plus pronunciation…. I might add, that the voice recognition. is superb… it even shows you what parts of the word you mispronounced.

Rocket Italian
Loving it so far! I’ve been using it for about a week and it feels great. Not sure what happened with some of the other voice recognition in the reviews but mine works near perfectly. Also really appreciate the breadth of options to study the language.
Keep calm & carry on!
We’re speaking better french than a year ago…so something is working! It just takes time and patience. If we were to offer course feedback, a couple of the speakers (1 man 1 woman) don’t enunciate well enough to be clear over the iPad speaker. Wearing a headset is not always preferable so I just type out the words the best I can to get the answers corrected and then can sort out the garbled wording. (Or maybe it’s still just too fast for our level!)
Good course but also super problematic
I took the Spanish course and as a gay man found it stuck in another era. When discussing spouses in Spanish it said simplistic things like say you have an esposa if you are a man or esposo if you are a woman. No acknowledgment of the fact that many men have husbands and women have wives. I felt so erased. All they had to say was say esposa for wife or esposo for husband. There was also a lesson on asking permission to take a photo and while I understand it’s a simple conversation to teach concepts it felt like they were encouraging people not to respect boundaries. The women in the example says no you can’t take my photo and the man in the example keeps repeating please until she breaks down. A little creepy in my opinion. Again I get it’s a simple exercise but I did not expect to get creeper vibes from a fictional scenario in a language course.
Fun and useful
RL gave me a headstart going into fsl courses.
