Literally scam app

DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR USE THIS APP. They will charge you subscription fee of $19.90 for no reason. And I didn’t even use the app to book a single ride once. And they will refused to refund you the subscription. This is how they earn $$. Through scamming subscription fees instead of providing a proper ride hailing service.

You can encounter a lot of reckless drivers and scammers from this app but I personally continue to use it because of the cheap prices sometimes. Just tonight I decided to write up a review after 4y of use. I think the function to add X location to exact same location is ridiculous because I was just scammed $10 from this. I was exhausted from work and desperate to get home, accidentally selected destination to be the same as my pickup location. A driver just accepted it and happily drove off with my money. There's no way to dispute this as well, since the ride was technically completed fairly. I'm aware of how silly this all is and that it was my fault for not checking but I did trust the app to warn me before I made the booking. You can use Ryde, it's constantly trying to make improvements. But I also suppose it depends on the timeframe and location to ensure you get a safe and happy ride. Anyways don't forget to refer to multiple apps before booking because ryde can be pricier than grab sometimes.

2nd review with detailed events *important!!!: you will never get refunded! NEVER GET REFUNDED! even if the cancellation is due to the fault of the driver you will never get your money back. YOU WILL LOSE MONEY. 1) made a booking. App shows 8 minutes. 2) driver may have cancelled and moved on but app still shows 8minutes. 3) so I decided to call driver but driver is uncontactable as he probably already moved on. 4) tried to cancel ride but app charged me 5.90 FOR THEIR FAULT!!! 5) near impossible to request a refund and let alone get customer support through the app. Try emailing but see if they reply to you. 6) their refund is a $5 voucher… a $5 voucher (I paid 5.90 for cancellation mind you) to USE BACK ON THEIR LOUSY APP??!!! Why can’t you just give me my money back. Not the first time I encountered this. But this is the last straw. The app is buggy at best and GPS is dog poo. They purposely designed the app to be as inconvenient as possible to ensure you never get customer support or your money back.

given how inflated the rating of this app is, no wonder so many bad drivers who smoke in their cars have 5 stars. this app autorates the drivers 5 stars >80% of the time, without me opening the app after i have alighted.

Accidentally tapped on cancel trip, but when i pressed back instead of actually cancelling the trip, the app cancelled the trip for me and i was charged the cancellation fee. When i tried to look for the option to request a waiver on the fee, i could not. I was only directed to FAQs and given information about requesting a waiver but i was unable actually request the waiver. Ended up taking a grab cos everything just worked better in this time frame. Improve the app ui please.

This app is never cheaper than its competitors, I don't get the point of it existing.

So I took RydeTaxi because it said $23-$33 at first, cheaper than RydeX which was $34, But when my RydeTaxi finished, the charge was $53!! $20-$30 above the said pricing of $23-33!! If only i knew its prices were not transparent, I would have chosen RydeX or other ride hailing services instead of the taxi option. I ticked the wheelchair option because my brother is on a wheelchair. When driver arrived, the driver didn’t care to offer assistance to help load the wheelchair inside its boot, just waited 3+ minites until when I can’t fit inside the boot than he came out to try out it in but the same happened after arriving at destination, he didn’t care to offer assistance, just continue sitting there and wait till I unloaded it myself. I would be more than happy to pay $20 more if the driver was more helpful to its riders who need assistance lol. Just a scam app, i wont recommend anyone to use this app, I for sure won’t use this app anymore

Worst app ever to book your car rides. The driver will accept and will not be moving for at least 10 mins. When you try to cancel with a valid reason, they will try to ask you to pay cancellation fee when it’s clearly not your fault. Plus once you top up the Ryde wallet it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to get back your money. Literally please improve on your customer service. Many times I tried to write an email to them there’s no response as well. Scam app

Big regret of the subscription. It’s a very bad pricing plan and please avoid it as you will only get net loss. Comments below. 1)Unlike the other apps Ryde is a quarterly membership. so even you don’t like you are still locked in for another 2 months. They don’t highlight in ad when I subscribe and that makes me super uncomfortable. 2)All the rebates and benefits are subject to a lot of conditions which they also don’t highlight in promo e.g you can only book XL etc for the rebate. I doubt if I can ever get the rebates back. 3)I’ve compare the price before and after membership. It’s even higher. Don’t treat your customers like idiots. 4)Priority booking but you don’t get booking. This is one of the benefit but I still cannt get car 90% of time. Then what I subscribe for?
