App doesn’t work

I have tried to download and sign up 3 times and the app doesn’t even let me sign up.

Can’t create an account

It would be a good app if you could create an account. All it says is we are having technical issues and we are working on it! It’s been over two weeks and still nothing

Unusable

Can’t even login and use the app.

Terrible app…

…all I get is error messages that always say “the data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format.” So it never shows search results.

Did not process and held funds

I used this app and pre-filled in the amount I wanted to spend. I used Apple Pay, and it held all of my money, and the transaction still hasn’t gone through nor is there a receipt in the app. This happens on 11/08/24, and it’s 11/12/24, and my funds are still being held.

Does not apply my rewards

For the last 3 months it does not apply my rewards to the transaction. Yes I made sure I selected apply rewards. My rewards are accumulating and expiring without the ability to use in fuel. Safeway please contact me with a fix.

Won’t apply discount or deletes discount

I stopped using the Tom Thumb branded version of the app and moved over to the Safeway branded version. That fixed the issue where it would work at all. However, the app doesn’t apply the discount that it shows when activating the pump. One time, it wiped out my discount and it wasn’t applied to my purchase even though I had the button selected in the app….so I lost about $17 on that fill up!! I spoke to an attendant and she indicated this is happening broadly and it’s even happened to her. Please fix this issue!!….especially since it’s a known issue affecting many others!!

No Fuel Options. Integrates with Safeway App

I’m only interested in Diesel or Premium prices. App only shows Regular so deleted it. Nice that it cleanly shows “credits” from your Safeway account, but again the web version shows regular and diesel. So will use the GasBuddy app instead and compare to all gas stations at one time: by the fuel type that I️ need. Sad the data is there. Just not showing it. Who wrote this app?

Just doesn’t work anymore!

It just stopped working. Just says data cannot be read. reinstalled and restarted my phone and still nothing.
