Was given a card for this app at the car hire desk and was dubious at first but gave it a go and it was so much better than I expected. Excellent value for people who like self drive tours and the GPS accuracy is amazing!

Great tour of the Road to Hana
We loved having this guided tour of the Road to Hana, which linked to the GPS and car speaker!! We felt independent but guided on the journey to Hana and learned a lot of interesting facts along the way. It pointed out over 30 breath-taking places to stop. This is a great app and I can’t imagine doing this journey without this app!
Brilliant
Downloaded the first guide as we were visiting the Volcano National Park and it was so much more than we expected. Worth every penny. Downloading Oahu now as off there next and were not going to bother but it was so good we have to!
Best online travel guide
This is a fantastic App and I am so happy I found it! We visited Bryce Canyon and and thanks to the Shaka Guide we found all the best places and their history. The app is very easy to use and the background music really complements the experience. I am off to Grand Canyon soon and will definitely be buying the next Shaka guide. Well done and keeping developing the new journeys!
Delightful Tours for the Whole Family
We discovered Shaka Guide last year driving around the Big Island of Hawaii. We had 15 people of all ages for a family reunion and bought the bundle. It made exploring the whole island at our own pace so much fun. This summer we realized they also had a California bundle and our three kids all loved listening to Uncle Shaka’s fascinating stories (and corny jokes!) as we drove through Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon. I love that these work without cell service. Before any trip, I’m going to first check if there’s a Shaka tour available. I wish these had existed when I was a kid!
Would recommend to anyone
Downloaded this tour on a whim. It was great! There were multiple stops we would have missed had we tried to do the tour on our own. We especially liked having the history lessons on the way back. Worth every penny!
Great self guided tours
We’ve now used Shaka Guides in the Big Island and Maui. We have found things we wouldn’t have ever known about if it were not for this app. The kids eventually warmed up to it. This is much more cost efficient than the tours you pay for in the islands. It’s worth it to just buy all the island tours when on sale if you think you will likely visit other islands in the future.
