Incredible value for money
What you get here for very little money is amazing. Geared equally well to teaching and acting, this is the complete corpus of Shakespeare’s works, with very many helpful tools. Get it. Its worth it!
Shakespeare Pro gekauft und jetzt ausgesperrt
Ich habe Shakespeare Pro voll gekauft und nach dem letzten Update gesperrte Schauspiele. Diese sind auch nach einem "restore purchases" unter "General" und "Manage Add-Ons" nicht zugänglich. Ich erwarte, daß beim Kauf einer Vollversion alles zugänglich ist. Daher nur noch eine 1-Sten Bewertung.

The one and only Shakespeare app I trust. Bought it years ago, still a delight. Not a rip-off, genuine Shakespeare admiration. So many useful features.
Besser als Kindle-Ausgaben!
Diese App hat alles, was ich zum Shakespeare-Studium unterwegs benötige. Lange habe ich bei Kindle nach einer Shakespeare-Gesamtausgabe gesucht, dort gibt es aber erstens extrem viele „schwarze Schafe“, also fehlerhafte Texte und unsaubere Textversionen, und zweitens scheint die Kindle-App mit sehr langen Texten einfach überfordert zu sein: Das Suchen von Wörtern oder Phrasen dauert dort viel zu lange, und nur selten kann man anhand der Suchergebnisse erkennen, welches tatsächlich die gerade gemeinte Textstelle ist. Dies alles gehört mit Shakespeare Pro der Vergangenheit an! Hier kann ich sogar die historischen Quarto- oder Folio-Versionen aufrufen, was mehr ist, als ich erwartet hätte. Als Vokabel-Referenz ist das hervorragende „Shakespeare’s Words“ von David und Ben Crystal bereits an Bord, ein weiteres Lexikon kann man für nur wenig mehr als einen Euro zukaufen. Ich bin zufrieden.
App stürzt wieder nur ab seit Update
Ich kann sie nicht einmal mehr starten. Jedenfalls auf meinem iPhone 7. Sie kann nur eines: Mich nerven, empfiehlt mir regelmäßig per Benachrichtigung den Kauf von Pro, aber das IST die Pro-Version! Wie wäre es einmal mit Testen?

Shakespeare Pro
Im Prinzip ein sehr empfehlenswertes Konzept, einem Leser die Shakespeare-Lektüre im englischen Original zu erleichtern und wohl auch"schmackhaft" zu machen. Leider ist das Glossar im Anhang nicht im laufenden Text abrufbar (zumindest ist MIR dies nicht gelungen), schön aber ist die Einbindung von relevanten Podcasts aus dem Internet und die Möglichkeit, parallel auch den Text der ersten Folio-Ausgabe zum Vergleich zu lesen. Die visuelle Aufbereitung der Dramentexte ist insgesamt recht ansprechend und dürfte die Lektüre erleichtern.
