Superb Shakespeare
Excellent App as it is comprehensive about its subject but has lots of i dredging spinoffsis. Well resourced and presented.
How many times do I have to be asked?
So painful. The app itself is ok content wise. But I'm giving 2 stars due to the daily reminder to rate this thing. Stop! I turned off the "remind me every day to rate" setting that was hidden away but it Made no difference. Fix this bug and stop bugging me!
One star for nagging me to rate with a notification!
Also not a very good app.
Slightly crashy
But really quite brilliant.
Excellent source of the Bard's works.
Unlike the uncharitable previous reviewer I have no issue with being asked to review this App. Easy to use and quite readable on an iPhone 4S. The features and functions make reading the plays a lot easier. For example being able to have the full character name rather than the accepted abbreviations makes keeping track of who is who a breeze. Well worth the price for anyone interested in what are likely some of the most enduring words ever written.
Crash! (Fixed)
Update appeared again. Install bug? No longer crashes when it opens on iPad or iPhone.
The perfect Shakespeare companion
When I studied Shakespeare in college, my textbook was the 1900-page Riverside Shakespeare. Now, I can carry Shakespeare in my pocket. This app contains all the plays (and other works), along with scene summaries, character bios, statistics, an integrated glossary, and even inline translations into modern English. (Some features are in-app purchases.) In my opinion, the only thing missing is a library of videos from the Royal Shakespeare Company or Shakespeare’s Globe. 😉
Incredible App and Amazing Service
This is one of the best apps of all time! It does everything well! Additionally, when I had a glitch when going from my iPad to my iPhone, they responded and helped me fix it within a couple of hours…on a Saturday…during a long weekend!! This is truly an outstanding app with tremendous customer support!
