Not able to submit a bid as unable to “submit a bid” as the confirmation screen is not formatted for a mobile device.

Searching and filtering work pretty well, although somehow my saved searches were originally saved with spaces URL-encoded. Might be a fixed bug by now. (It would be nice to search for “Argus” without getting lots of “Targus” results.) The lack of landscape mode for iPads is a serious demerit. Portrait mode is very awkward for larger iPads in particular. The worst, however, is that I can’t even bid on some items because the modal pop-up is not scrollable, so if the confirm bid button is below the available screen you can’t tap it. I have the largest iPad Pro and it’s still not enough vertical space to see the entire confirmation dialog.

Items are overly priced and a lot of pictures are duplicates of other postings. Other than that it is cool to look through the items none the less. Just needs a reality check without the price gouging.

Terrible, awful, horrible. There’s no other way to put it. Goodwill goes out of its way to tell you they aren’t professional appraisers, but will then put a ridiculously high starting price on an item, umm I thought you weren’t professionals. Then there’s the issue with sizing clothes and shoes, they can’t be bothered to list any measurements if the item doesn’t have a size already on it. If you write them to ask for measurements, they’ll just wait until the bidding is over and tell you that the item is no longer available for bidding, then they relist it. Then we have the shipping and handling costs, $10-$15 to ship one shirt!? No matter what you purchase, you will pay $10 plus on shipping. Goodwill are the biggest scammers I’ve ever seen.

Perhaps I just expected more from Goodwill as a typically upstanding business, but this platform can be deceptive. Be careful not to put too much trust that you’re going to get what you expect when you win an auction.

I hate that you cannot use use the app without being forced to ‘update’ it first. After: this app has become unusable; it now crashes when clicking to view an item.

Eliminate the quick bid link. Few if any buyers are going to purchase an item from the thumbnail. Accidentally placed bid when quickly scrolling thru app. No way to disable quick bid in settings.

I know these people are in the business of selling donated stuff and high prices but 2023 they are getting ridiculous. You will find gold every now an then but the biggest issue is with shipping. Charging you $11.80 to ship out a 8 ounces shirt is unnecessary and very unacceptable. On their shipping disclaimer:It will take 5 to 7 business days to ship out your item and they literally means 5 to 7 🤷🏽‍♂️ Goodwill will literally ship out your item on the SEVEN day of their 5 to 7 business days. Goodwill has literally become a cheap version of EBAY now days. I know the app is a work in progress but fix your shipping speed and shipping rates..

The latest update I just downloaded today has too much space in the “confirm bid” box - you can scroll down to see the “submit” button but it won’t stay visible so you literally CANNOT PLACE THE BID. NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP!!

I have learned to live with the glitchy app and can make it do what I want. Surely they would have more sales though, if the app was designed right. The good thing is, it probably sends potential buyers running and that way you can sometimes get a bargain price. However, sometimes is not all the time. I have bought numerous items and have noticed sometimes when you will put in a max bid they will bid you up internally seconds before the auction ends. One of my last items I was bidding on and it actually said I was out bid. In the morning I received an email saying I had won! But for my max bid price! How does that figure? I’ve noticed it numerous times where I was bid up to my max bid. Either a bot or people are internally shill bidding and we aren’t supposed to notice. Be cautious of putting max bid prices on items.
