The video player needs fixing. The screen is opaque for 5+ seconds at the start of each video showing the pause button and forward and backward controls. However during this time you can’t see the video and often on short videos means the you miss the whole point of the video. It’s been like this for ages. How has no-one spotted this and fixed it?

August 2023. The iPhone and iPad apps have not been working in Thailand for a few days now. The website is still ok so I don’t think the apps are being blocked by Thai government intervention. I’ve updated and reloaded the apps and have checked my wifi signal / iOS version. It didn’t help

Like every other news channel you have too much commentary and not enough simple News presentation. Get back to basics!!!

But it could be so much better! Sport news is often way out of date or not covered at all and some quite important international stories are hard to find.

Having a 30 second video for a 40s video clip is just crazy. Stopped using the app

Now there are too many purple and sensationalist ads that can only be seen as click bait to generate revenue. I understand that the app has to pay for itself, and make profit, but lose the click bait and credit your users with a bit more intelligence please? “Live” articles are almost unreadable due to updates repositioning the screen you are on, meaning you have to flick through the entire site again to find what you were reading. Frustrating to the point I don’t use it any more. Web developers need a bit of coaching I think.
