The app constantly crashes, doesn’t load the profile screen, and doesn’t load notifications. Don’t even bother.

Used to be great. Not so much now. Used to play this all the time on the old app. It was recently updated now it’s just ad after ad. It’s become unbearable and a total waste of time. Sad they killed a great app. 🙁

Maps, menus and playing fields are too large for the iPad screen, with the button to continue beyond your reach. Waste of time, don’t bother.

I enjoy playing Sporcle & can tolerate ads every couple of minutes but every day or two, I am blocked for hrs by an ad for some other game that I have no interest in. Today, I tried to open the game at 4. It’s now almost 8:30 & I’m still blocked so I think it’s time to dump the game & save myself the frustration.

I really love sporcle quizzes and this app is amazing for when I’m on the go or don’t want to pull out my computer but randomly when I’m in the middle of a quiz the app will freeze and will reload when I’m in the middle of a quiz. Sometimes this will happen multiple times in one day or not at all but when it happens frequently, it makes sporcle unplayable. This app would be 5 stars if this bug weren’t here

The app makes it a lot easier to do the quizzes on mobile and the app navigation is tolerable but it keeps crashing. I would be in the middle of a quiz and I would have to start from the beginning because it would freeze.

Sporcle is one of my favourite places on the internet, but this app isn’t doing it justice. It has crashed or gone to a black screen multiple times in my few uses and the ads are unfortunately glitched and overly intrusive (trying to close them will just simply open and open the app store) I’d be okay with paying for the adless version if the app was more stable and better made.

I’m a huge Sporcle fan and have been playing in my computer browser for years. I like getting to play on my phone but I find two things tricky which can hopefully get resolved in future updates: 1) if you put your phone to sleep in the middle of the quiz it should pause, not keep running the clock. I failed a quiz recently because I had to sleep my phone to deal with my kid and didn’t pause first. 2) I think most of us rely on autocorrect when typing on our phones and definitely aren’t as fast with two thumbs as we are with a full set of fingers on a keyboard. I’m finding in a lot of quizzes I’m running out of time before knowledge simply because I can’t phone type as fast as on my computer. Feels like giving extra time on the phone app would be useful to mitigate this issue.
